  • Publication number: 20070063673
Abstract: A module and method incorporated thereby is provided for maintaining the float voltage of a battery cell at an optimum fully charged condition while being continuously charged by a float current. The module preferably includes a mechanism for measuring the actual float voltage of the cell, and a circuit is established for variably bypassing the float current directed to the cell. A device is provided for calculating and establishing a predetermined relationship between a desired cell float voltage and a bypass current required to maintain the desired cell voltage. A mechanism then determines a desired bypass current by comparing the measured actual float voltage of the cell with the predetermined relationship. A system compares the actual bypass current with the desired bypass current, and then a mechanism adjusts the actual bypass current to equal the desired bypass current.

  • Publication number: 20070007482
Abstract: A mini gas valve assembly having a valve stem with a flattened region extending a length thereof. The valve stem is operable to withstand an applied torque pressure of at least 50 in-lbs or greater without exhibiting plastic deformation. In various embodiments, the valve stem comprises hollow, cold rolled steel having a wall thickness less than about 0.045 inches.

  • Patent number: 6437554
Abstract: An air-core current transducer measurement system is provided for measuring current flow in a high voltage transmission line. The system includes a high voltage end including an electrically conductive case for the circuitry at that end and an isolated low voltage end which is coupled by a fiber optic cable to the high voltage end and which provides a scaled output signal. A current transducer located at the high voltage end includes a coil for sensing current flow in the transmission line and for producing a time derivative output signal. An electrostatic shield connected to the electrically conductive case provides electrostatic shielding of the coil.

  • Patent number: 6068380
Abstract: A mounting assembly for a vehicle interior rearview mirror of the automatic dimming type includes a vehicle mount having a rearwardly projecting first ball portion, a tube having a first end that receives the first ball portion and a second end including a rearwardly projecting second ball portion fixed with respect to the tube and having a wire hole therethrough, a ball clamp within the tube for engaging the first ball portion, a helical spring for biasing the ball clamp to a clamping relationship with the first ball portion, and a mirror socket for receiving and clamping the second ball portion. The tube of the mounting assembly and the first ball portion are unitary in one embodiment, while another embodiment has the tube and second ball portion provided with flanges that are biased into engagement with each other by the helical spring.
