  • Publication number: 20040216576
Abstract: The present invention relates to a protective spool dispenser that is portable, efficient and convenient for dispensing line. The dispenser has four corner members and upper and lower sidebars, forming a box-like outer frame. A crossbar extends between two adjacent corner members. A spool-receiving arm extends from the crossbar. The end of the spool-receiving arm opposite the crossbar is unsecured, so that a spool of line may be easily slid onto the arm. The arm includes a tensioning spring, two washers and a fastening pin. The spool is sandwiched between the two washers. Free spinning is prevented due to the tensioning spring. The disclosed dispenser also preferably includes a cutter mechanism for cutting line to desired lengths.

  • Patent number: 4901206
Abstract: A wire distribution apparatus is disclosed and includes a wire termination module having a cross connect field and a protector field electrically wired to the cross connect field. The cross connect field includes a plurality of electrical contact points arranged in a predetermined array. A test member is provided for accessing test equipment to test signals carried by conductors connected to the cross connect field. The test member includes a housing which is releasably attachable to the module in a predetermined position. A plurality of electrical contact members are carried by the housing and have exposed contact ends arranged in a second array with the ends disposed to electrically engage the test contact points when the housing is attached to the module in a predetermined position. Electrical connectors are carried on the housing for electrically connecting circuit test equipment to the electrical contact members.

  • Patent number: 4747020
Abstract: A wire distribution apparatus is disclosed having a frame member with walls defining a vertical open face chamber. A plurality of termination modules are secured to the frame in side-by-side relation. Each of the modules includes a pair of opposing panels having one end pivotally mounted to the frame on opposite sides of the vertical chamber opening and pivotable between a first position with panels joined to form prismatically shaped termination modules. The panels are also pivotable to a second position with opposing panels pivoted away from one another to expose the openings in the frame to provide access to cables and wiring within the frame. Tie bar mechanisms are provided for rigidly securing panels in open positions.
