  • Publication number: 20240062199
Abstract: An authentication and payment system for paying a supplier via a network may include a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having program logic stored thereon having a code for an authentication and payment application executable by a processor of a computing device. The code may be programmed to perform a step of receiving a first set of specific data elements from a payer regarding an authorized purchase by the payer from the supplier. The code may be further programed to receive a second set of specific data elements from the supplier. If the first set of specific data elements matches at least a portion of second set of specific data elements, the code may be programed to generate and send a single-use number to the supplier. The single-use number may be usable as a credit card number for only one purchase.

  • Publication number: 20220095890
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an elevator of a medical device comprises using an additive manufacturing method, forming a pivot portion at a proximal end of the elevator. The pivot portion tapers proximally such that a proximalmost end of the elevator is thinner than more distal portions of the pivot portion. The method further comprises using the additive manufacturing method, forming a body of the elevator that is distal to the pivot portion. The elevator body includes a surface configured to contact an instrument inserted in a working channel of the medical device.

  • Patent number: 11213028
Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are insecticidal nucleic acids and proteins of bacterial species. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest including plants, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The pesticidal proteins find use in controlling, inhibiting growth or killing Lepidopteran, Coleopteran, Dipteran, fungal, Hemipteran and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.

  • Patent number: 9381368
Abstract: A lead connector assembly for an Implantable Medical Device (IMD) is disclosed. The lead connector assembly includes a rigid elongated connector core having a core opening along its long axis. An alternating series of elastomer seals and header contacts are inserted into the core opening along the long axis and meet with an end stop to hermetically self-align the header contacts with contact openings along the sides of the core. A connector block can be inserted into an opening in the connector core, and sealed with an adhesive. Once the connector core, header contacts, seals, and connector block are subassembled, the connector core subassembly may be hermitically tested, and thereafter affixed to other subassemblies by affixing means on the connector cores. Feedthrough pins can then be connected to the header contacts through the contact openings, and overmolded with a header to the IPG's case.
