  • Patent number: 9607338
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing derivative product orders at an exchange. Traders provide derivative product order risk data to the exchange. The order risk data may include maximum delta, gamma and/or vega utilization values for derivative product contracts based on the same underlying product. Before executing a trade, a match system analyzes the trader's current utilization state and the utilization that would result after the trade. The match system may then execute all or a portion of the trade.

  • Patent number: 9378636
Abstract: A fall detector unit is worn by a patient and performs a wakeup when an acceleration signal exceeds a predetermined threshold. A barometer provides a series of pressure readings over a pressure examination period to provide a first pressure difference value. The pressure signals are further monitored over a compensation period after the examination period to obtain a second pressure difference value representing background environmental changes. The first pressure difference value is compensated by the second pressure difference value to obtain a total pressure difference value and thus derive a total height difference value. The fall detector unit determines a fall event using the total height difference value.

  • Patent number: 9278826
Abstract: A preform forming machine for producing a three-dimensional dry fiber preform may include a forming block assembly and a clamping plate assembly. The forming block assembly may have a forming table and a forming block and may be positionable in a series of forming block assemblies. The clamping plate assembly may have a clamping table and a clamping plate and may be positionable in a series of clamping plate assemblies arranged in opposing relation to the series of forming block assemblies. Each forming block may be configured to fold a ply stack over onto itself to form a web of a preform. Each clamping plate may be configured to clamp the ply stack to the forming table during the folding of the ply stack.

  • Patent number: 9196144
Abstract: The social alarm system includes a fall detector unit, worn by the user, having an accelerometer to detect a fall. A controller monitors for an acceleration signal which exceeds a wake-up or starting threshold and, in response, distinguishes between a fall event and a non-fall event based at least on the acceleration signal. A counter unit maintains a count of the non-fall events over a monitored time period such as one day. An alarm signal unit generates an inactivity alarm signal when the count of non-fall events is below a count threshold within the monitored time period.

  • Publication number: 20150097103
Abstract: Fuel testing gauges used in preflight checks of an aircraft are typically straw-shaped cylindrical elements which tend to accidentally slip through a fuel tank opening and become lost in the tank. A fuel gauge holder which resiliently engages the outer surface of the gauge and extends laterally from a central axis of the cylindrical gauge serves to prevent accidental loss of the gauge and simplifies handling by the pilot or other user of the fuel gauge.

  • Publication number: 20150046315
Abstract: A system mitigates the effects of a market spike caused by the triggering and the election of a conditional order in an automated matching system. The system includes evaluation logic, delay logic, pricing logic and timing logic. The evaluation logic monitors conditional orders submitted to a trading engine and is configured to compare a price of an order to a first predefined price range. The delay logic delays matching of the orders submitted to the trading engine when the price of the orders lie outside of the first predefined price range. The pricing logic derives an opening price to be used by the trading engine. The timing logic measures a time interval used to delay a matching of the orders until the opening price is within a predefined price range up to a maximum delay time set by a control center. A method of mitigating the effect of a market spike caused by the triggering and the election of a conditional order includes monitoring conditional orders submitted to the trading engine.

  • Patent number: 8844739
Abstract: A reusable food storage container includes bottom and top members, each having first and second portions. Each bottom member first portion includes a bottom wall with opposed side walls and an end wall extending between the side walls and extending upwardly from the bottom wall. Each bottom member defines an open end opposite its outside end wall and an open top. The bottom member portions are selectively coupled together using tab and channel structures. The top member portions each include a top wall having opposed end walls with an outer side wall connecting the end walls and extending downwardly from the top wall. The top member portions are selectively connected using tab and channel structures. Each top member defines an open side opposite its respective outside side wall and an open bottom. The top portion includes a circumference slightly larger than that of the bottom portion, enabling a nesting attachment.

  • Publication number: 20140224305
Abstract: A photoelectric conversion device includes: a wavelength converting region that absorbs ambient light to generate electrons and holes, and recombines the generated electrons and holes to generate monochromatic light; and a photoelectric conversion region that has a p-n junction or p-i-n junction, absorbs the monochromatic light generated in the wavelength converting region to generate electrons and holes, and separates and moves the electrons and holes generated by absorption of the monochromatic light. The wavelength converting region includes: a carrier generating region that generates the electrons and holes; a light emitting region that generates the monochromatic light; and a carrier selective transfer region that is disposed between the carrier generating region and the light emitting region and that, of the electrons and holes generated in the carrier generating region, moves those electrons and holes having specific energies difference there between to the light emitting region.

  • Publication number: 20130275291
Abstract: A system mitigates market spike effects caused by conditional ordering triggering and election in an automated matching system. The system monitors trading as a result of cascading triggering of conditional orders. When an order is executed beyond a predetermined price threshold, an instrument may be flagged, allowing matching to occur only at or within the predetermined price threshold. Orders within the price threshold are matched at the price threshold against orders beyond it, dampening any instantaneous damaging effects of the price spike. The system may adjust the price threshold when market appropriate, allowing the order flow to bring the market back to whatever is the true price level. The system mitigates purely conditional order cascade driven price fluctuations, but allows the market to continuously trade in controlled price and time intervals ensuring that true market moves can still occur without price control mechanisms hindering trade matching and true price discovery.

  • Publication number: 20120330816
Abstract: A system mitigates the effects of a market spike caused by the triggering and the election of a conditional order in an automated matching system. Conditional orders submitted to a trading engine are evaluated to compare a price of an order to a predetermined price range. Matching of the orders may be delayed when the price of the orders lies outside of the predetermined price range. An opening price to be used by the trading engine is derived and a time interval is used to delay a matching of the orders until the opening price is within a predetermined price range up to a maximum delay time set by a control center. Implied spreads are also removed until other instruments within a trading unit are verified open.
