  • Patent number: 9125501
Abstract: A pedestal, a system and/or a method secures and/or displays an article. The pedestal secures an article to a fixture while allowing manipulation, testing and/or maneuvering of the article with respect to the pedestal and/or a surface. A drum, cable and a spring may be used to deter theft and/or removal of the article. The article may be on display and/or may be used, manipulated, tested and/or transported by consumers in an environment, such as, for example, a retail store. The pedestal may allow for extension of the cable by pulling the article away from the pedestal and/or the drum. The pedestal, the system and/or the method may allow for extension of the cable using a spring.
