Patent number: 12096940Abstract: Devices and methods for treatment of a patient's vasculature are described. The device includes a self-expanding resilient permeable shell having a radially constrained state and an expanded state with a globular, axially shortened configuration. The permeable shell may be a single layer of braided elongate filaments having first and second ends that are secured at the proximal end of the permeable shell. The devices may also include permeable shells made of woven braided mesh having a variable mesh density, i.e., the average size of pores in one region are a different than the average size of pores in another region. Methods of using the device to treat a cerebral aneurysm are also described. Methods of forming a tubular braid are also described. Methods of forming a tubular braid with variable braid densities are described. Methods of forming a tubular braid using a castellated mandrel are also described.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2021Date of Patent: September 24, 2024Assignee: MICROVENTION, INC.Inventors: Todd Hewitt, Brian Merritt, William R. Patent number: 11681416Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically adjusting a website of an entity using information that has been received, stored, gathered, and/or otherwise obtained about what people want to find on the entity's website. A website may be dynamically adjusted using trending information. Dynamically adjusting may comprise generating and presenting links on the website to webpages in order of volume over a defined time threshold, or by variance over a standard volume over a longer established time frame. Dynamically adjusting the website may comprise providing an element on a website for what is most urgent to customers. A unit associated with a website may be monitored, and when the unit volume or activity starts to spike beyond normal expectations, then information about the unit is proactively and/or preemptively offered on the website, or a webpage of the website, without ever having a conversation with a user.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2020Date of Patent: June 20, 2023Assignee: Verint Americas Inc.Inventor: Timothy James Hewitt

Patent number: 11637819Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and computer system is provided for establishing connectivity between user devices. The computer-implemented method includes: broadcasting a message to running processes on an operating system of the first user device to indicate that a requesting application is looking for a live connection channel to attempt discovery with a second user device to ascertain virtual proximity of the first user device with the second user device. The computer-implemented method further includes receiving a response from a live connection channel and attempting to verify pairing via the live connection channel to confirm a virtual proximity of the second user device with the first user device. The pairing provides information for establishing a subsequent connection between the first and second user devices via the requesting application.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2020Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Thomas James Waterton, James Hewitt, Caroline J. Patent number: 11526575Abstract: An add-on for, or additional functionality integrated in, a web browser of the kind that logs visited web pages in history with their URL, HTML page title and a date/time stamp is provided. The history may additionally logs category tags and their confidence scores. The category tags may originate at least in part by extracting them from visited page content and may also propagate through from previously visited pages, for example when a page is opened by hyperlink from another page, the latter's category tags propagate through to the new page. The page-specific confidence scores may be determined by applying a scoring formula that mimics a user's mental association between a category tag and a web page. The category tags and their confidence scores may be then stored in the history log entry and the category tags may then be used to search the history.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2020Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Thomas James Waterton, Caroline J.
