  • Publication number: 20220268684
Abstract: A particle sensor for measuring size and concentration properties of particles in a gas includes a bipolar diffusion charger configured to charge particles within a received gas sample by the collision of the received particles with and transfer of charge from both positive and negative ions concurrently. At least one electrometer detects the charge of received particles thereby charged. The net, positive, negative or total charge on the bipolarly charged particles has a low sensitivity to variations in the absolute rate of charge generation in the bipolar diffusion charger. A sensor for a ratio of ion charge mobilities in a bipolar diffusion charger employs an ion trap between the bipolar diffusion charger and at least one electrometer.

  • Patent number: 11420101
Abstract: An ice hockey stick template tool is disclosed for creating a personal tailored curved hockey stick blade of a hockey stick. The ice hockey stick template tool includes several blade parts that are configured to be assembled into a particular customized blade shape. The blade parts include several interchangeable heels, several interchangeable mids, and several interchangeable toes. A customized blade shape is created by a player assembling and adjusting one heel, one mid, and one toe, resulting in a blade profile which references a particular heel, a particular mid, and a particular toe. The blade profile is recorded and stored in a database that also stores all combinations of the interchangeable blade parts. The blade profile can then be transmitted electronically to a manufacturer or 3D printed to create the customized hockey stick the player desires.

  • Publication number: 20220219571
Abstract: An occupant classification system for a seat assembly. The seat assembly includes a seat cushion and a seat back. The system comprises a plurality of sensors, an algorithm, a posture classifier and a weight classification system. Each of the plurality of sensors measures a force applied to the seat cushion and/or seat back by an occupant of the seat assembly. The algorithm monitors a compensation factor and adjusts the forces measured by the plurality of sensors to compensate for the compensation factor. The posture classifier identifies a posture of the occupant based on distribution of the adjusted forces for each of the plurality of sensors. The weight classification system identifies a weight class of the occupant based on the posture and magnitude of the adjusted forces for each of the plurality of sensors.
