  • Patent number: 10796372
Abstract: A central claims adjuster control unit associated with an entity may oversee the assignment of claims cases to claims adjusters. The control unit may designate that a threshold number of cases may be assigned to certain claims adjusters. When new claims cases arrive, the control unit may monitor the workload of each of the claims adjusters and the threshold value assigned to any of the claims adjusters before assigning the case to one of the adjusters. If no adjuster is available, the control unit may store the case(s) in a memory until one of the adjusters becomes available. An additional feature of the control unit includes a user interface for modifying information about claims adjusters, including whether or not a threshold value is associated with them, the value of any associated threshold, and the reassignment of cases from one adjuster to another.

  • Publication number: 20200072079
Abstract: A rotor shaft for a high speed motor that has a coating that is secured to a shaft body. The coating and the shaft body are formed from dissimilar materials. More specifically, the coating may be an alloy material, such as, for example, a copper alloy, while the shaft body may be a steel material. According to certain embodiments, the alloy material of the coating may be secured to at least a portion of a rotor body blank in a solution treated condition via a low temperature welding procedure. Additionally, the coating may be hardened, such as for example, through the use of an age hardening process. The coating and the rotor body blank may be machined together to form the rotor shaft. According to certain embodiments, such machining may configure the rotor shaft for use with a turbo-compressor that is configured for air compression.

  • Publication number: 20200025639
Abstract: A method determines a total velocity average cross-section parameter ?tot? in a relationship of the form ?loss(U)=nb?tot?·ƒ(U, Ud), where: ?loss(U) is a rate of exponential loss of sensor atoms from a cold atom sensor trap of trap depth potential energy U in a vacuum environment due to collisions with residual particles in the vacuum environment; nb is a number density of residual particles in the vacuum environment; Ud is a parameter given by U d = 2 ? k B ? T / m bg ? 4 ? ? ? ? ? 2 m t ? ? ? tot ? v ? which relates the masses of the sensor atoms mt and residual particles mbg to the total velocity average cross-section parameter ?tot?; and ƒ(U, Ud) is a function of the trap depth potential energy U and the parameter Ud which models a naturally occurring dependence of the loss rate ?loss(U) on the trap depth potential energy U and the parameter Ud, where ƒ(U=0, Ud) is unity for all Ud.
