  • Patent number: 12201336
Abstract: A surgical system may include a conductive stylet with a distal end advanceable into bone material and a proximal end coupled to a stylet hub. A handle is non-removably attached to the stylet hub, and removably attachable to an insulative cannula hub. The cannula hub is non-removably attached to a conductive cannula that surrounds the stylet when the handle is attached to the proximal end of the insulative cannula hub. An outer insulative sheath is slideably engaged to insulative cannula hub, and has a radio-opaque distal tip. An electrical signal source may be applied to the stylet hub to conduct a pedicle integrity assessment. The handle and stylet may be removed from the cannula assembly, leaving the cannula assembly in place at the surgical site.

  • Publication number: 20250020281
Abstract: Methods and structures are disclosed to dispense a liquefied gas solution from a liquefied gas solution (LGE) container. The LGE container comprises a temperature sensor to detect the temperature of the liquefied gas solution within the LGE container. The LGE container temperature is controlled using a temperature control element, and a processor connected to the temperature sensor and the temperature control element. The LGE is transferred from the container to a secondary container through a valve. The method includes the following steps: (a) opening the valve to allow the LGE to flow from the LGE container into the secondary container; (b) taking readings from the temperature sensor; (c) based on the temperature readings, heating the LGE container to maintain the temperature of the LGE container at a predetermined temperature or temperature range.

  • Patent number: 12196593
Abstract: Techniques for detecting and remediating a low gas pressure situation within a gas delivery system are described. In one example, a smart gas metering device measures gas pressure. The first device determines that the gas pressure value is less than a first threshold value, indicating a low gas pressure condition. The first smart metering device reports this condition to a second smart metering device, which may be nearby. In response, the first smart metering device receives gas pressure information from the second smart gas metering device. The first smart gas metering device then reports one of two conditions to a headend device, such as a main office server. In a first possibility, the report indicates a low gas pressure event confined to the first device. Alternatively, the report indicates a low gas pressure event within a distribution area comprising the first device and the second device.

  • Publication number: 20240408690
Abstract: Systems and methods for cleaning a wire electrode after a welding process has ended are described. During a welding process, a wire electrode may be fed forward from a wire feeder through a welding torch to create a molten weld pool. While, conventionally, feeding of the wire electrode stops when the welding process ends, the present disclosure contemplates instead continuing to feed the wire electrode forward after the welding process ends. More particularly, the present disclosure contemplates feeding the wire electrode into the weld pool so that the wire electrode can be “cleaned” in the molten weld pool created by the welding process. The “cleaned” wire electrode end can be more easily used to establish an electrical arc at the beginning of the next welding process.

  • Patent number: 12159140
Abstract: An electronic device receives a single instruction to apply a neural network operation to a set of M-bit elements stored in one or more input vector registers to initiate a sequence of computational operations related to a neural network. In response to the single instruction, the electronic device implements the neural network operation on the set of M-bit elements to generate a set of P-bit elements by obtaining the set of M-bit elements from the one or more input vector registers, quantizing each of the set of M-bit elements from M bits to P bits, and packing the set of P-bit elements into an output vector register. P is smaller than M. In some embodiments, the neural network operation is a quantization operation including at least a multiplication with a quantization factor and an addition with a zero point.

  • Publication number: 20240386256
Abstract: Improved multi-layer machine learning model architectures are provided that exhibit increased accuracy, decreased training time, decreased inference compute cost, and/or increased stability while training. These improved models include a plurality of sequential layers, each layer comprising a mixing layer that feeds into a feedforward layer. These improved models achieve these benefits by ‘enhancing’ a subset of the feedforward layers with mixture-of-experts or other sparse multi-network architectures while ‘degrading’ a subset of the mixing layers to be simple linear mixing layers (e.g., that multiply inputs by one or more mixing matrices) rather than more complicated attentional mixing mechanisms (e.g., including a number of matrix multiplications, dot products, and nonlinear operations).
