  • Publication number: 20240113952
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for assessing a computing network's physical robustness to node and/or link failure during operation of the computing network. In one or more examples, the systems and methods can incorporate graph modeling and analysis techniques to assess the impact of node removal from a computing network and determine the impact that such removal has on the overall physical connectivity of the network. In one or more examples, a user or other entity can provide the system with a graph representation of a computing network, as well as specify the number of nodes to be removed (i.e., to simulate failure) to test the connectivity of the network. The system using these inputs can determine a worst-case scenario operating condition based on the inputs provided by the user, and can also assess the “network merit” which can represent a user-programmable definition that can represent a plurality desired types of connectivity.

  • Patent number: 11945847
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to compounds, compositions, and methods for the inducing neurodegenerative disease pathologies. In one aspect, disclosed herein is a nucleotide sequence encoding a chimeric polypeptide, comprising: a first nucleotide sequence encoding a light-induced oligomerization domain and a second nucleotide sequence encoding a neurodegenerative disease in target protein. Disclosed herein is a method of inducing a neurodegenerative disease pathology in a cell, comprising the steps: introducing into the cell an expression vector encoding a chimeric polypeptide, comprising: a first nucleotide sequence encoding a light-induced oligomerization domain and a second nucleotide sequence encoding a low complexity domain from a neurodegenerative disease target protein, wherein the first nucleotide sequence is operably linked to a promoter; expressing the chimeric polypeptide; and inducing oligomerization of the chimeric polypeptide by stimulation with blue light.

  • Publication number: 20200188972
Abstract: Processes for producing sheet metal products by machining a solid metal body with a cutting tool in a single step to continuously produce a continuous bulk form from material obtained from the solid metal body, and without performing a hot rolling operation thereon, cold rolling the continuous bulk form to produce a sheet metal product. The machining step is a large-strain machining process capable of being directly performed on an as-cast ingot or other solid body to produce a continuous intermediate product that can be directly cold rolled without any intervening hot rolling operation, and optionally without homogenization or annealing.
