  • Patent number: 4840570
Abstract: A novel plug-in card module for use in a rack module having means for supporting a plurality of such modules in an abutting side-by-side relation. The plug-in module comprises a printed circuit board having at least two pairs of card receiving and guiding rails transversely disposed thereon. Each of the guide rail pairs comprise first and second oppositely-disposed elongate rails removably secured to the printed circuit board. The plug-in module preferably includes at least first and second electrical connectors longitudinally disposed on the printed circuit board in back-to-back or side-by-side relation, each of the electrical connectors disposed adjacent an associated pair of elongate guide rails. To provide increased modularity and ease of circuit component replacement, the plug-in module includes a plurality of individually-removable electrical circuit boards.

  • Patent number: 4662617
Abstract: A support base is shown for supporting a motorcycle where the motorcycle has a footpeg on either side of the motorcycle frame for receiving the rider's foot and where each footpeg is provided with at least one opening therein. The base includes a body having a top support surface for supporting the frame of the motorcycle, a bottom surface and sidewalls therebetween. A tie-down tool is provided which includes a handle and a shank extending outwardly from the handle. The shank is of lesser relative diameter than the handle to allow the shank to pass through the footpeg opening but to restrain the handle. The outer extent of the shank opposite the handle is provided with a hook for engaging a loop on the sidewall of the body to support the motorcycle in upright fashion on the base.

  • Patent number: 4301999
Abstract: A vacuum hold-down table (36) is provided for holding sheet material (40) in place. The vacuum hold-down table (36) includes a plurality of foam layers (542, 544, 546, 548, 550, 552) integrally united to form a laminated monolithic core portion (560) for the table (36). A plurality of apertures (580) extend throughout the core portion (560), such that air flows throughout the core portion (560). A vacuum is provided through structure (608, 610) to the core portion (560) to effectuate a vacuum within the core portion (560) to generate a high flow rate of air passing through the apertures (480) and thereby maintain sheet material (40) on the surface (38) of the table (36).
