Abstract: There is provided a sample ejection system for ejecting a sample from a flow of fluid, the system comprises: a fluid flow channel for receiving, in use, the flow of fluid; a fluid inlet channel connected to the flow channel and arranged to receive, in use, pressurised fluid; a fluid outlet channel connected to the flow channel at a location downstream in the flow direction of the flow of fluid and comprises an outlet. The system is arranged such that, in use, pressurised fluid is applied to the fluid flow channel via the fluid inlet channel to drive fluid from the region of the fluid flow channel between the fluid inlet and outlet channels through the fluid outlet channel and out of the outlet.

Abstract: A portable sound-producing device makes a unique sound likened to a deep, animal-like growl when used. The device comprises of a housing and a pull cord. The housing comprises of a hollow, polygonal- or tubular-shaped body with one of its two ends completely covered by a tautly stretched covering. The pull cord is securely attached to the center of the covering. The remainder of the cord hangs freely inside the housing. When the cord is pulled and quickly released, the sound the invention makes can be used to frighten those who hear it as a practical joke or as a hunter's tool to clear an area of people and animals.

Abstract: This is an inflatable cushion or mattress that is both easy to inflate and deflate by means of a large re-sealable opening. This opening is protected from bursting open due to the increased pressure caused, for example, by a large body lying upon the mattress. The means of protection is by pulling the primary closure under the mattress so that the pressure works against the walls of the mattress rather than against the primary closure. The primary closure is held in place under the mattress by a secondary closure made of hook and loop fabric. Furthermore, the cushion or mattress can have its internal air pressure finely adjusted by the use of a standard air valve incorporated into the mattress.
