  • Publication number: 20250138696
Abstract: In several aspects for panning across a virtual screen field for computing systems, at least one facial position deviation of a user is detected relative to a predetermined point of reference with respect to a display device. The at least one facial position deviation includes head movement of the user. The method further includes panning to a section of a virtual screen field based on a direction and a speed of the detected at least one facial position deviation of the user. Additionally, the method includes displaying the panned to section of the virtual screen on the display device.

  • Publication number: 20250103473
Abstract: Tagging a corpus of tests based upon failure analysis. Access tags associated with test cases known to execute without error against an original corpus of source code. Access a test set associated with the accessed tags, the test set containing test cases. Access a new corpus of source code to be tested. Execute the new corpus of source code using test cases from the accessed test set. Access errors generated by execution of the new corpus of source code using the test cases. Determine locations in the new corpus of source code associated with the accessed errors. • Publication number: 20250082254
Abstract: The system and methods described herein diagnose the semantic processing capability of a subject by measuring the neural response of the subject to one or more naturalistic speech stimuli. The system measures the subject's temporal response function to the naturalistic speech by computing a statistical comparison between the subject's neural signal and a time series of semantic metric values corresponding to a transcript of the naturalistic speech stimulus. A diagnosis of the subject's semantic processing capability is then made based on an evaluation of the statistical comparison.

  • Publication number: 20240419704
Abstract: In an approach, a processor preprocesses a corpus of documents of a given subject matter by: scanning each document in the corpus to identify stop words, which either is a high occurrence word that appears in at least a first pre-set threshold number of documents or a low occurrence word that appears in less than a second pre-set threshold number of documents; adding the stop words to a list of stop words; performing a spellcheck function on the corpus of documents; scanning each document in the corpus to identify subject matter relevant words based on the given subject matter; adding the identified SMR words to a list of SMR words; and assigning a weight to each identified SMR word based on a term frequency. A processor performs a similarity assessment on the corpus using the list of stop words and the list of SMR words with associated weights.

  • Patent number: 11215384
Abstract: A heat exchanger within an insulated enclosure receives primary refrigerant at a high pressure and cools the primary refrigerant using a secondary refrigerant from a secondary refrigeration system. An expansion unit within the insulated enclosure receives the primary refrigerant at the high pressure from the heat exchanger and discharges the primary refrigerant at a low pressure. A supply line delivers the primary refrigerant at the low pressure to the load and a return line returns the primary refrigerant from the load to the primary refrigeration system. A system control unit controls operation of at least one of the primary refrigeration system and the secondary refrigeration system to provide a variable refrigeration capacity to the load based on at least one of: a pressure of the primary refrigerant delivered to the load, and at least one temperature of the load.

  • Patent number: 11176179
Abstract: Aspects of the invention include receiving a new problem record. A corpus of existing problem records that were previously assigned to problem record owners and grouped into documents based on their assigned problem record owners is accessed. Each document in the corpus has an assigned problem record owner. A document in the corpus that is most similar to the new problem record is identified. The identifying includes comparing text in the new problem record to text in the documents. The new problem record is assigned to the problem record owner that is assigned to the identified document.

  • Patent number: 11068607
Abstract: A secure cloud computing environment protects the confidentiality of application code from a customer while simultaneously protecting the confidentiality of a customer's data from intentional or inadvertent leaks by the application code. This result is accomplished without the need to trust the application code and without requiring human surveillance or intervention. A client secure virtual machine (SVM) is accessible by a client who supplies commands, operand data and application data. An appliance SVM has the application code loaded therein and includes an application program interface that accesses a memory area shared by both SVMs. All access to the appliance SVM is initially revoked by an ultravisor, except for the shared memory and an encrypted persistent storage. The appliance SVM stores the application data in the persistent storage. The ultravisor manages an SVM by maintaining exclusive control over a device tree used by the operating system of the SVM.

  • Patent number: 11016857
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system to maintain high availability of a service processor. An embodiment provides program code with a location of a second service processor (the second service processor is communicatively coupled to the first service processor). The program code stops a virtual machine during runtime, including instruction execution and IO operations, where during runtime, the virtual machine executes one or more processes to service and manage computing resources in the distributed computing environment. The program code generates a micro-checkpoint of the virtual machine. The program code resumes the instruction execution of the virtual machine and transmits the micro-checkpoint to a second service processor based on the location and then resumes IO operations. The second service processor utilizes the micro-checkpoint to enable a hypervisor on the second service processor to start a virtual machine on the second service processor.

  • Patent number: 10912400
Abstract: An adjustable shelf reducer for use with a retail display to create a visually-appealing, full display of products contained on the shelf. The adjustable shelf reducer includes an L-shaped support having a backing member coupled to a base. One or more spaced-apart openings between the backing member and the base permit the passage of longitudinal spacer slats. The depth of the shelf display may be adjusted by sliding the spacer slats through the openings in the support and securing them in place at a pre-selected distance to create an aesthetically-pleasing and easy-to-access retail display.
