  • Patent number: 10338670
Abstract: Voltage adjustment techniques for computing systems and processing devices are presented herein. In one example, a method of determining operating voltages for a processing device includes executing a voltage adjustment process to determine at least one input voltage for the processing device lower than a manufacturer specified operating voltage. During the voltage adjustment process, the method includes applying incrementally adjusted input voltages to the processing device, operating the processing device according to a functional test that exercises the processing device in context with associated system elements of a computing assembly, and monitoring for operational failures of at least the processing device during application of each of the incrementally adjusted input voltages.

  • Patent number: 10337638
Abstract: The disclosure provides devices and methods for controlling the actuation rates of SPM valves by bi-directionally controlling the fluid which actuates the valve or by maintaining enclosed volumes which communicate with each other through predetermined restrictions as the valve actuates. These enclosed volumes can be completely isolated, depth compensated, share fluid with the pilot actuating fluid, or utilize the main system fluid. The restrictions can be modified to increase or decrease the actuation rates of the SPM valve. The disclosure also provides control over the main system fluid passage opening and closing positions as well as how rapidly the flow passage areas increase or decrease while opening or closing the valve.

  • Publication number: 20190174836
Abstract: An improved waistband for lower body garments, such as pantyhose, tights, leggings, or underwear. The waistband is knitted as a tube on a circular knitting machine with horizontal courses with respect to the length of the tube. The tube is configured into a continuous loop and seamed. The tube is perpendicularly sewn to the top of the panty portion of the garment to create the waistband such that the knit courses in the waistband align vertically with respect to the length of the garment. The vertical alignment of the courses in the waistband provide comfort and support while resisting the roll down effect that occurs in knitted waistbands having horizontally aligned courses.

  • Patent number: 10310572
Abstract: Thermal reduction and voltage adjustment techniques for computing systems and processing devices are presented herein. In a first example, a method of operating a voltage control system for a processing device includes operating the processing device in a computing assembly at a selected performance level, the processing device supplied with at least one input voltage at a first voltage level. The method includes monitoring thermal information associated with the computing assembly, and when the thermal information indicates a temperature associated with the computing assembly exceeds a threshold temperature, adjusting the at least one input voltage level supplied to the processing device to a second voltage level lower than the first voltage level and continuing to operate the processing device at the selected performance level.

  • Patent number: 10209726
Abstract: Secure voltage adjustment techniques for computing systems and processing devices are presented herein. In one example, a method of controlling operating voltages for a processing device includes initializing a security portion of the processing device after application of input voltages to the processing device as supplied by voltage regulation circuitry according to voltage identifiers (VIDs) established for the processing device. The method includes, in the security portion, generating adjusted input voltages based on at least the VIDs and authenticated voltage offset information stored according to a digitally signed security process, and instructing the voltage regulation circuitry to supply the adjusted input voltages to the processing device.

  • Patent number: 10159988
Abstract: A method and machine for the purpose of separating heavy materials from lighter materials by specific gravity. The machine consists of a vertical cylindrical body, supported on legs, and across the top a flexible diaphragm of appropriate material is draped, and fastened at the perimeter. The diaphragm forms a bowl-shaped depression, and is manipulated by a rotating assembly. The assembly having any number of arms, mounted in a fashion in which they are offset from the center of rotation, and extending radially nearly to the perimeter. The assembly is mounted on a vertical shaft which may be turned by a motor, or manually. The force of the arms, acting against the underside of the diaphragm, causes an upward projecting, moving wave in the diaphragm. Raw material is fed through a feed funnel to the center of the diaphragm, forming a conical pile.

  • Publication number: 20180075415
Abstract: A method of matching a job-seeking driver with a driving job is implemented with the aid of a data-processing system including a computer memory and a job-match algorithm. The data-processing system receives data relating to driver jobs for which drivers are sought and stores in the computer memory a uniquely-identifiable job-data file corresponding to each driver job for which data has been received. Additionally, the data-processing system receives driver-related data associated with job-seeking drivers and stores in the computer memory a uniquely-identifiable driver-data file corresponding to each job-seeking driver for which data has been received. A stored job-date file is algorithmically matched with a stored driver-data file based on a predetermined set of job-match threshold criteria. Information relating to a stored job-date file to which a driver-date file is algorithmically matched is rendered available to the driver associated with the driver-date file through an output interface.

  • Publication number: 20180050279
Abstract: Methods of processing used oil vacuum tower bottoms in a heated chamber. The used oil vacuum tower bottoms are introduced into the chamber as a liquid. The used oil vacuum tower bottoms are introduced in a first section of the heated chamber. The used oil vacuum tower bottoms pass along the length of the chamber through a series of sections that are each heated to different temperatures. The sections may have varying lengths and may be heated to a variety of different temperatures. As the used oil vacuum tower bottoms progress along the length of the chamber, hydrocarbons are removed resulting in an outputted product that is substantially free of hydrocarbons and that has a substantially granular form. Vapor from the process is further captured producing vacuum gas oils.
