  • Patent number: 9071189
Abstract: A motor drive comprises a power sub-assembly and a control sub-assembly removably secured to the power sub-assembly. The power sub-assembly contains all power electronic circuitry and driver circuitry for the power electronics. The control sub-assembly comprises control circuitry for implementing a motor control routine that generates control signals for the power sub-assembly. The control sub-assembly is configured to conform to a USB mass storage device class such that it will appear as an icon on a configuration station when coupled to the configuration station via a USB cable. Thereafter, the drive may be accessed by selecting the icon, and parameter file and data transfer may be performed, such as by drag-and-drop transfer steps.

  • Publication number: 20070090922
Abstract: A wireless user interface is operable to interface with an industrial control system including a device operable to store a first password and a wireless interface module operable to store a second password. The wireless user interface includes a processing unit operable to prompt a user for the first and second passwords, connect to the wireless interface module using the second password, and establish a first connection through the wireless interface module to access the device using the second password.

  • Publication number: 20070043853
Abstract: A motor control system includes a first peripheral device and a motor control host. The first peripheral device is operable to generate a first configuration message. The motor control host includes a plurality of ports and the first peripheral device is coupled to a first one of the ports. The motor control host is operable to store a configuration mask defining access rights for each of the ports, receive the first configuration message over the first port, and accept or reject the first configuration message based on the configuration access defined in the configuration mask for the first port.

  • Publication number: 20070043467
Abstract: A motor control host includes a plurality of ports, a memory, and a processing device. The memory is operable to store an enable mask defining an enablement state for each of the ports. The processing device is operable to send a first message over those selected ports having an affirmative enablement state to maintain a communication link over the selected ports and inhibit the first message for those ports having a negative enablement state. A method for configuring a motor control system including a motor control host having a plurality of ports includes storing an enable mask defining an enablement state for each of the ports. A first message is sent over those selected ports having an affirmative enablement state to maintain a communication link over the selected ports. The first message is inhibited for those ports having a negative enablement state.

  • Patent number: 5248455
Abstract: Method of making a transparent film by forming two or more melt streams, combining the melt streams into a multilayer melt stream, extruding the layered melt stream and attenuating with an airstream to form multilayer microfibers, collecting the microfibers as a nonwoven web, and consolidating the web under heat and pressure. At least one of the melt streams is a thermoplastic elastomer and at least one of the melt streams is a thermoplastic material. The transparent web has a generally continuous elastomeric phase with an included array of thermoplastic microfibers.
