  • Publication number: 20210325352
Abstract: Chromatographic systems for size exclusion chromatography (SEC) are provided that comprise an inlet, an outlet, an analytic column having a first interior volume that has a first length and a first cross-sectional area normal to the first length, the first interior volume containing a first stationary phase, and a guard column having a second interior volume that has a second length and a second cross-sectional area normal to the second length, the second interior volume containing a second stationary phase. The inlet is in fluid communication with the guard column, the guard column is in fluid communication with the analytic column, and the analytic column is in fluid communication with the outlet. Moreover, the second length is smaller than the first length, and the second cross-sectional area is smaller than the first cross-sectional area.

  • Publication number: 20090125556
Abstract: A website is disclosed exclusively for distributing videos relating to homes for sale or rent, restaurants, schools, hotels, museums, tourist attractions, and other places of interest within a specified region. The website includes a database of videos and related information, a home webpage where location information such as a zip code or address and other specific characteristics are entered, and a second webpage where a list of places of interest that satisfy the specified criteria is presented, and where in some embodiments the search can be narrowed. In one aspect, the home webpage allows only input of location information. Preferred embodiments allow definition of a region according to a maximum distance or travel time from a location. Some embodiments display locating information and/or videos and other information regarding real estate agents or other subscribers. Preferred embodiments also provide for linking or embedding of videos in email, blogs, other websites, etc.

  • Publication number: 20080162166
Abstract: A web-based user interface and method for providing home and community information, move-in and move-out information, as well as vendor information in a simple and easy-to-access format for real estate professionals, future homeowners, and current homeowners. The user interface accepts only a zip code or town and city location information on a first web page, and then displays home and community information, move-in and move-out information, and/or vendor information in response to the location information submitted. A very simple user interface thereby provides a large collection of locally targeted information without the tedium and frustrations of previous methods. Such targeted information can facilitate a home sale, or a ease a move-in or move-out. The vendor information includes ratings and reviews of local vendors submitted by actual customers that may help a homeowner in making a more informed and therefore better decision about which vendor to select for products and/or services.

  • Patent number: 6623214
Abstract: An opening in a fabric geotextile tube is closed by clamping a backing member and friction enhancer on the inside of the geotextile tube to a friction enhancer and support on the outside of the geotextile tube. The friction enhancers reduce slippage between the fabric and the backing member on the inside of the tube and between the fabric and the support on the outside of the tube. The backing member is larger than the opening. In one embodiment, the backing member is inserted into the opening by providing a slit ring backing member, inserting the fabric through the slit and then rotating the ring and advancing the ring into the geotextile tube. In another embodiment, the backing member is inserted through the opening in segments. In another embodiment, an inlet assembly is provided by the support. In another embodiment of the invention, a connection is made to the geotextile tube for securing a UV protective cover to the geotextile tube.
