Abstract: Bipod systems for maneuvering elongated poles and methods of using such systems are discussed. One example is a bipod system, comprising a first leg comprising a first actuator configured to change the length of the first leg in response to a first control signal, wherein changing the length of the first leg moves the elongated pole in a first direction; a second leg comprising a second actuator configured to change the length of the second leg in response to a second control signal, wherein changing the length of the second leg moves the elongated pole in a second direction that is different from the first direction; a connector configured to secure an elongated pole to the bipod system; and a controller configured to generate the first control signal and the second control signal in response to a user input.
