    Abstract: A vehicular MacPherson strut with piston comfort valving for accommodating short and rapid wheel movement on recoil only. A bypass valve disk is spring biased against a valve seat on a rebound chamber face of the piston head. The disk, seat and spring construction provides restricted flow followed by blow off on compression. On recoil, the disk provides bypass flow at stroke beginning, and flexes thereafter to stop bypass flow and restrict flow thereafter to restriction passages.
