  • Publication number: 20220095871
Abstract: An indoor mobile industrial robot system is configured to provide a weight to a detected object within an operating environment, where the weight relates to how static the feature is. The indoor mobile industrial robot system includes a mechanism configured to translate reflected light energy and positional information into a set of data points representing the detected object having at least one of Cartesian and/or polar coordinates, and an intensity. If any discrete data point within the set of data points representing the detected object has an intensity at or above a defined threshold the entire set of data points is converted into a weight and potentially classified representing a static feature, otherwise such set of data points is classified as representing a dynamic feature having a lower weight.

  • Publication number: 20220053988
Abstract: A method and a system for generating a map by a robot travelling around the venue or scene while sensors detect obstacles therein. If portions of the map have obstacles determined with a too low accuracy, i.e. the map quality is too low, determining a position in the venue or scene from which the robot may determine the position of the obstacles with a higher precision, where after the robot is moved to the position and the map improved.

  • Patent number: 7761456
Abstract: A method for secure restoration of data selected based on user-specified search criteria includes maintaining one or more backup versions of a plurality of storage objects and initiating the generation of a plurality of database entries, wherein each database entry corresponds to a backup version of a storage object and includes an encoding of a security descriptor associated with the storage object. The method may further include, in response to a backup version search request from a user, using contents of the search request and encodings of security descriptors stored in the plurality of database entries to identify one or more backup versions of a particular storage object that the user is authorized to access.

  • Patent number: 6234844
Abstract: Card reading apparatus capable of accepting different sized disconnectible electronic cards, including memory storage cards such as larger smart cards and smaller S.I.M. (signature identification module) cards, includes a reader housing assembly which encloses a connection chamber. A conventional connector in the connection chamber has a plurality of resilient contacts projecting toward a course to be taken by a memory storage card as it is inserted through an entry slot into the housing assembly. Each memory storage card is rectangular and includes a similarly sized and positioned plurality of contact pads thereon for mechanical and electrical engagement, respectively, with the plurality of resilient contacts on the connector in the connection chamber when inserted into the connection chamber through the entry slot and advanced to a seated position.

  • Patent number: 6159050
Abstract: The present invention is a modular jack assembly which includes an outer insulative housing having top and bottom walls and opposed lateral walls while defining an interior section. This housing also has front and rear open ends. This assembly also includes an insulative insert having a top section, an upper side and rear section having a base side and a recess. This jack is positioned so that the upper side of its top section is adjacent to top side of the insulative housing such that its terminal end extends into the interior section of the insulative housing and the rear section at least partially covers the rear open end of the insulative housing. This assembly also includes an electronic component mounted in the rear section of the insulative insert. A conductor is mounted in the electrical insert.
