  • Publication number: 20160132812
Abstract: A multi-chat monitoring and auditing system and method are disclosed. The system and method may be used to simultaneously monitor, audit, and manage online, text-based chat interactions between a plurality of customer service representatives and a plurality of users. Chat streams are monitored through the use of flags that may be customized based on the preferences of the system operators. The system and method may also audit chat interactions through data collection and through a dashboard that aggregates and analyzes key performance indicators. A supervisor's dashboard may also be utilized to manage and oversee the chat interactions of a plurality of customer service representatives.

  • Patent number: 6708866
Abstract: A friction stir welding tool includes a friction stir welding head having a probe and spindle rotatably mounted at a first end. A support supports the stir welding head between the first end and a second end for movement about a pitch axis. A pitch actuator includes an elongated arm coupled to the stir welding head at a point longitudinally spaced from pitch axis to overcome the relatively large forces exerted at the probe. A turntable supports the stir welding head for movement about a yaw axis. A yaw actuator includes an elongated arm coupled to the turntable laterally spaced from the yaw axis, to overcome the relatively large forces exerted at the probe. A controller maintains an angle of attack of the probe with respect to direction of travel of the probe along the work piece.

  • Patent number: 6247634
Abstract: A knock-down anvil assembly provides a rotary anvil ring inside the cylindrical end portions of tank sections to be stir welded together as a butt joint, and an external reactive roller unit is provided which bears against the outer faces of these end portions at a location diametrically opposite from the stir welding tool. The anvil assembly can be disassembled within the finished tank into components which can be individually removed through an access opening in an end cover of the tank.

  • Patent number: 5881228
Abstract: A communication subsystem used in an aircraft entertainment system employs a microcontroller and a dual-ported RAM to relieve burden from the host processor in handling low-level operations in communicating with external devices. The host processor and the microcontroller accesses the dual-ported RAM by testing the semaphore to determine if the DPRAM is available. If available, the processor and/or the microcontroller will read/write the messages from/to the DPRAM as appropriate. The microcontroller controls the communication interface controllers directly and will send messages read from the DPRAM to the CICs or write to the DPRAM messages received from the CICs without host processor's intervention. The microcontroller also performs other low-level operations such as header/trailer processing and error checking/correcting free from the host processor.

  • Patent number: 5659939
Abstract: An x-y-z motion jack unit is mounted on a base frame supported by precision made floor inserts at an assembly site. The inserts are precision positioned in the floor and each insert presents a horizontal support surface for the base frame and a vertical threaded bore receiving an anchoring pin provided by an anchoring unit mounted on the base frame. Multiple of the jack units can be integrated into a computerized adjustment system for positioning aircraft structural components during assembly.
