    Abstract: The present invention refers to a fuel pressure regulator assembly and method for regulating the pressure of the fuel supplied to the fuel rail at a predetermined pressure. The fuel pressure regulator includes a housing and fuel cover for containing the fuel pressure regulator and submersing the fuel pressure regulator in fuel at all times. A valve element allows excess fuel to exit the fuel pressure regulator and return to the fuel tank for reuse. The fuel component assembly also allows for a method of reducing turbulent fuel flow and for controlling noise and hydrocarbon emissions. The method is achieved by providing a containment assembly that submerges the pressure regulator in fuel for containing and directing fuel flow path.

The pressure regulator conduit includes a regulator inlet in fluid communication with the filter, regulator outlet, and a receptacle in fluid communication with the regulator inlet and the regulator outlet. The pressure regulator extends into the void between the first surface of the receptacle and the second surface of the receptacle.

    Abstract: A pressure regulation assembly of a fuel supply includes a receptacle, an inlet connectable to the fuel supply and in fluid communication with the receptacle, an outlet in fluid communication with the receptacle, and a pressure regulator mounted in the receptacle to selectively open fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet. The receptacle includes a first surface surrounding an axis, and a second surface surrounding the axis and the first surface to provide a void between the first surface and the second surface. The pressure regulator extends into the void between the first surface of the receptacle and the second surface of the receptacle and includes a third surface surrounding the axis and a fourth surface surrounding the axis and the third surface. A first seal engages the first surface of the receptacle and the third surface of the pressure regulator. A second seal engages the second surface of the receptacle and the fourth surface of the pressure regulator.

The receptacle includes a first surface surrounding an axis, and a second surface surrounding the axis and the first surface to provide a void between the first surface and the second surface. The projection being disposed on one of the cover and the base, and the receiver being disposed on the other of the cover and the base. The fuel component assembly allows for a method of encapsulating a fuel component within a fuel supply.

The first part extends along a longitudinal axis and has a protrusion that extends radially outward from the longitudinal axis. The second part receives the first part and has a wall surrounding the longitudinal axis. The wall has an inner surface generally confronting the longitudinal axis, an outer surface generally facing opposite the inner surface, a channel cooperatively receiving the protrusion; and an arm portion. The arm portion has a first surface defining a portion of the inner surface, a second surface defining a portion of the outer surface, and a bulge extending from the arm portion into the channel. The bulge engages the protrusion and maintains the first and second parts in a connected configuration.

    Abstract: The fuel filter/regulator assembly comprises a cylindrical body open at one end and closed at its opposite end by an annular wall having a pocket for receiving the regulator. The annular fuel filter is received in the body and has an inner end cap configured to bear against and receive an upper portion of the regulator. A further end cap closes the open end of the body and bears against the fuel filter element. A fuel inlet is provided and all components of the housing are formed of stainless steel. In another form, a wave spring is employed to accommodate stack-up tolerances of the fuel filter.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic fuel injector has an attaching clip that is integrally formed with the non-metallic electrical insulating material that is molded to surround the electrical terminals of the injector solenoid. The clip is resiliently pivotable on the injector body for releasable engagement with a fuel rail cup when the injector is inserted into the cup. Several versions of clips are illustrated. The invention eliminates the need for a separate metal attaching clip.

    Abstract: An improved mounting system is disclosed for a cathode ray tube. Base bracket members are supported between the tube faceplate and the tension band of the tube. The base bracket member includes an upstanding portion extending at an angle from a foot portion and includes a tee shaped structure spaced from the foot portion. The tee shaped structure is positioned through an opening in the mounting bracket member. With the mounting bracket member positioned to thus receive the tee shaped structure of the base bracket member through the opening, the mounting bracket member may be rotated relative to the base bracket member to the mounting position. In this position, one surface of the tee shaped structure is supported against a base bearing surface of the opening in the mounting bracket member, with the tee shaped structure engaging the upper surface of the base bearing arm portion of the mounting bracket member.
