  • Patent number: 8113863
Abstract: A socket connector includes a housing having a mating end and a mounting end. The housing has a receptacle at the mating end configured to receive an electronic module therein. The mounting end of the housing is configured to be mounted to a circuit board. Contacts are held by the housing. The contacts have mating ends exposed within the receptacle for mating with the electronic module. The contacts having mounting ends extending from the housing for terminating to the circuit board. A thermally conductive insert is held by the housing and is configured to be in thermal engagement with the circuit board and the insert has a module engagement interface configured to be in thermal engagement with the electronic module such that the insert transfers heat from the electronic module to the circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20080032537
Abstract: A socket connector for connecting a card edge module to a circuit board includes a housing extending along a longitudinal axis between opposed ends. The housing includes a mounting face configured to be received on the circuit board and a mating face configured to receive a card edge module. Each of the opposed ends includes an end surface transverse to the mating face and the mounting face. A latch member is located at each of the opposed ends. The latch members engage a mounting feature on each of the end surfaces to mount the latch members to the housing.

  • Patent number: 7118398
Abstract: An electrical connector (1) includes an insulative housing (10) having a first end (14) having a supporting section (13), a second opposite end (16) including a lever (17), and a slot (18) extending from the first end to the second end, and a number of electrical terminals (12) mounted to the insulative housing. A memory module (2) has a first side portion (20) including a side engaging section (26), an opposite second side portion (22) including a locking section (28) and a number of conductive pads (21). When the memory module is to mate with the electrical connector, the side engaging section engages with the supporting section and the memory module is rotated on the supporting section to mate the conductive pads with the electrical terminals sequentially from the first end to the second end. The lever locks with the locking section to hold the memory module in the slot.

  • Patent number: 5721531
Abstract: This invention relates to a monitoring arrangement for a hanging file folder for identifying information contained in an electronic file folder locator system. A hanging file folder, as known in the art, includes a pair of laterally extending support bars along a pair of upper edges of the file folder wherein each upper edge is formed with a channel for holding a respective support bar, and the file folder is formed with a plurality of apertures into one of the upper edge channels at a plurality of spaced locations along that channel. The monitoring arrangement comprises a pair of parallel, substantially horizontal, support rails spaced apart within a file cabinet to suspend the file folder therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4118103
Abstract: A double-ended electrical connecting device for connecting two wires to each other is generally U-shaped and comprises a web and sidewalls. The sidewalls are reversely bent inwardly towards each other and towards the web so that a double thickness of metal is provided in the upper portions of the sidewalls which are remote from the web. A wire-receiving opening is provided in the web and this opening merges with wire-receiving slots extending partially along the sidewalls. Additional wire-receiving slots extend inwardly from the upper free edges of the sidewalls through portions of the double thicknesses of metal. One wire is moved laterally of its axis and into each of the slots electrically to connect both wires to the connecting device and to each other.
