  • Publication number: 20240120714
Abstract: A workspace includes a power input receptacle configured to receive an input power at a first voltage level, wherein the first voltage level is an extra-low voltage. The workspace further includes a voltage regulator configured to regulate the input power and output a regulated power at a second voltage level and a power distribution bus. The power distribution bus is configured to receive the input power from the power input receptacle. The workspace further includes a safety disconnect configured to disconnect the input power from the power distribution bus in response to detecting an adverse condition.

  • Patent number: 10859843
Abstract: A backplate for a head-mounted display (HMD) is disclosed. The backplate provides structural support as well as thermal cooling for components coupled to the backplate. The backplate includes a plurality of mounting regions that are used to couple components to the backplate. The mounting regions may include camera mounting regions (e.g., for inside-out tracking), an inertial measurement unit (IMU) mounting region, circuit board mounting regions, heat pipe mounting region, and a fan mounting region. The mounting regions may be specific to the component. In various embodiments, the backplate is a single diecast metal plate that includes the mounting regions designed to provide certain levels of thermal management, stiffness, and conductivity (e.g., ground) for the HMD.

  • Patent number: 10466740
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a metal frame in a head-mounted display (HMD) that is structured to absorb impact and protect components of the HMD. The metal frame has a wall that is spaced away from a protection shell securing a display panel in the HMD. When the HMD is dropped or subject to external force, the wall may deform but keep the protection shell intact. Moreover, the metal frame has protruding ridges and brackets that surround outward facing cameras on the HMD. If the HMD is dropped, the protruding ridges and brackets can provide protection to the cameras.

  • Patent number: 8615385
Abstract: An embodiment includes a computer-readable media storing instructions that when executed on processing logic execute a process for reducing complexity. The media stores instructions for identifying data dependencies in a model having executable semantics, the data dependencies affecting verification of the model and for selecting a location in the model, the location having data dependencies with other locations in the model, the location to be verified when the model is verified. The media also stores instructions for detecting complexities in the model, the complexities related to the selected location and presenting information about a source for at least one of the complexities. The media further stores instructions for eliminating the source for the at least one of the complexities and for transforming the model into an updated model based on the eliminating, the updated model not including the source for the at least one of the complexities.

  • Publication number: 20110295578
Abstract: A system and method generates contextual information for a source model. An identification of one or more first model elements of interest within the source model may be received. One or more constraints on inputs of selected model elements also may be received. A scope of analysis regarding outputs of the first model elements may be specified. The contextual information may be derived automatically for the one or more first model elements. The contextual information may include one or more model elements, signals, or states that are contained with the scope of analysis while execution of the source model is limited by the one or more constraints. The derived contextual information may be provided to an output device.

  • Publication number: 20070010273
Abstract: A base station (105) comprises a notification processor (117) to transmit notification information of calls of a call service to remote terminals. The call service can be a GSM Voice Group Call Service (VGCS). The notification processor (117) comprises a BCCH processor (303) which notifies active calls for the call service to remote terminals in a first set of allocated radio blocks (201, 203) on a broadcast channel. A VGCS processor (307) determines that a new call is initialised, and in response the notification processor (117) replaces a notification for an existing call with a notification for the new call in at least one radio block of the first set of allocated radio blocks (201, 203).

  • Publication number: 20020139035
Abstract: A tubular fishing tool to aid in the cutting of fishing line is disclosed. The fishing tool comprises a tubular frame with material selectively removed to form a pivot point for closing the tube, upper and lower cutting blades, and a plurality of holes to minimize weight and provide a method for hanging the tool onto a fishing vest. Both the tubular material and cutting blades are a corrosion-resistant material. The additional benefit of this design is the replaceable design of the blades.

  • Publication number: 20020091014
Abstract: Lasers are useful for many types of materials processing, including annealing, texturing, and joining. A method is provided for modifying the surface finish and structure of any material, with said materials being used in the construction of golf clubs. The surface modified materials have properties that lead to increased performance of the golf clubs. A secondary benefit is an improved material structure leading to a better feel for the golfer.
