  • Patent number: 11452819
Abstract: A medication delivery device with a sensing system to determine at least one of a dose set and a dose delivery. The sensing system is operable to detect relative rotational positions of first and second members of the device which are indicative of at least one of an amount of a dose set and an amount of a dose delivered by operation of the device, and generate outputs correlated to such relative rotational positions. The system includes a wiper coupled to the first member, and a sensing band coupled to the second member for physically contacting the wiper as the second member rotates relative to the first member. A controller electrically communicates with the sensing system to determine, based on the generated outputs of the sensing system, at least one of the amount of the dose set and the amount of the dose delivered by operation of the device.

  • Patent number: 11456869
Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented systems, devices, and processes that securely manage transfers of digital assets between computing devices using permissioned distributed ledgers. By way of example, an apparatus may receive, from a first device, a request to transfer a digital asset to a second device and a first digital signature applied to the request. Based on a validation of the first digital signature, the apparatus may approve the request and apply a second digital signature to the request and the first digital signature indicative of the approval of the request by the apparatus. The apparatus may also transmit the request, the first digital signature, and the second digital signature to a computing system, which may validate the first and second digital signatures and perform operations that record the first public key and asset data identifying the digital asset within at least one element of a distributed ledger.

  • Publication number: 20220239475
Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented systems, devices, and processes that securely manage and regenerate cryptographic keys using permissioned distributed ledgers. For example, a device may receive, from a first computing system, data indicative of a recordation of a first public key onto a distributed ledger. Based on an occurrence of a regeneration condition, the device may transmit, to a second computing system, a second public key and a first digital signature, and the second computing system may validate the first digital signature, apply a second digital signature to the second public key, and transmit the second public key and the digital signatures to the first computing system. The device also receives, from the first computing system, additional data indicative of a recordation of the second public key onto the distributed ledger, and based on the additional data, the device may invalidate the first private key.

  • Patent number: 11397262
Abstract: A robotic cleaning appliance includes a housing, surface treatment item, surface type detection sensor, and processor. The sensor emits sonic signals toward a surface being traversed and receives corresponding returned signals from the surface. The returned signals are used for surface type detection and include directly reflected primary returned signals and multi-path reflected secondary returned signals which return at a later time than the primary returned signals. The processor selects a window of time after transmission of a sonic signal such that the returned signals in the window comprise at least a portion of the secondary returned signals, wherein the window is related to round trip time-of-flight of the returned signals; processes the returned signals falling in the window to achieve a reflectivity metric; compares the reflectivity metric to a stored value; and based on the comparison, determines which surface type of a plurality of surface types has been detected.
