  • Patent number: 11883869
Abstract: A butt retrieval system having a butt retrieval receptacle supported outside the main footprint of an extrusion press such that maintenance and/or repair of the system is simplified. The butt retrieval system includes a butt retrieval receptacle moveable between a butt retrieving position and a butt unloading position. The butt retrieval receptable has a cantilevered arm extending from a base portion of the butt retrieval receptacle in a direction towards the centerline of the associated extrusion press.

Inventors: James Allen Cunningham, Kenneth James Platt, Joseph Vasalani
  • Publication number: 20230270052
Abstract: A flow distribution assembly provides air circulation to a rack-based vertical gardening system. The distribution assembly includes a housing having air inlet and outlet portions. At least one elongated duct has an end fluidly coupled to housing’s air outlet portion, the duct adapted to extend along a shelf of the rack, to an opposite end thereof. A fan is fluidly coupled to the housing’s air inlet portion and is supportable by the rack so that it can direct ambient air into the air inlet portion. The duct has a plurality of openings arranged to direct air at a plant growing area of the gardening system when the distribution assembly is mounted on a rack system. Optionally, the air inlet portion is positionable laterally outboard of plant growing regions of the vertical gardening system.

  • Patent number: 11641810
Abstract: Vertical growing uses a plurality of shelves to support plants. The system provides nitrogen and light to help grow the plants placed on the shelves. The system also circulates air that is filtered and mixed with the nitrogen before being distributed to the plants. The filters can remove odors from the circulating air.

  • Patent number: 11632915
Abstract: Vertical growing uses a plurality of shelves to support plants. The system has an air filtration and ultraviolet (UV) air purification system. The purified and filtered air is mixed with nitrogen, which is directed towards plants. The system can include lights to help grow the plants placed on the shelves. The filters can remove odors from the circulating air.
