  • Patent number: 11235160
Abstract: A connector block that permits simultaneous and continuous interconnection of the three leads of the epicardial pacing wires, the pacemaker, and the ECG monitor on clear separately labeled connectors is provided. Circuitry is provided that allows the display of epicardial signals on the telemetry unit, while still preserving the ability to pace the heart from the pacemaker. When pacing the connector block prevents excessive loading of the pacer signals by the ECG monitor and/or damage to the monitor by the high-voltage pacer signals. The connector block may be used universally on all monitors without the need for sophisticated understanding of the electrical characteristics of the ECG monitor or concern for damage or improper signal loading.

  • Patent number: 11236668
Abstract: An engine system and method of operating the same includes a two stroke engine, an exhaust manifold coupled to the two-stroke engine, a tuned pipe coupled to the exhaust manifold coupled to the exhaust manifold, a stinger pipe coupled to the tuned pipe, a silencer coupled to the tuned pipe and an exhaust pipe, and an exhaust bypass valve. Exhaust gases are directed from the two stroke engine through an exhaust manifold and through a tuned pipe. An opening of the exhaust bypass valve is changed to redirect exhaust gases away from the tuned pipe to change a pressure within the tuned pipe. In response to changing the opening of the exhaust bypass valve, the airflow through the engine is changed.

  • Patent number: 11235443
Abstract: A pipe wrench includes a head having a first aperture defining a central axis. The pipe wrench includes a first jaw coupled to the head having a plurality of teeth defining a first contact region, and a second jaw partially extending through the aperture of the head having a threaded portion and a plurality of teeth defining a second contact region. The second contact region extends beyond the first contact region in a direction parallel to side surfaces of the head. The pipe wrench includes a biasing mechanism located within the first aperture to align the threaded portion of the second jaw with the central axis of the first aperture, and an actuator having threads engaged with the threaded portion of the second jaw such that rotation of the actuator moves the second contact region of the second jaw relative to the first contact region of the first jaw.

  • Patent number: 11235327
Abstract: A test cartridge for evaluating biological fluids can have a sensor flow cell defining a flow path for selectively passing a test fluid or biological fluid across a sensor to evaluate the sensor or the biological fluid. The test cartridge can include a sample port and at least one deformable reservoir, both formed as part of the test cartridge and fluidly connected to the flow path upstream of the sensor. A biological fluid can be manually fed into the flow path through the sample port for evaluation by the sensor. Before the biological fluid is fed through the sample port, the deformable reservoir can be manually ruptured to pass the test fluid contained within the reservoir across the sensor to first evaluate the sensor. In an example, the deformable reservoir can include a first reservoir containing a liquid quality control (LQC) fluid and a second reservoir containing a calibration fluid.

  • Patent number: 11239002
Abstract: A technique is disclosed for electro-optically inducing a force to fabricated samples and/or devices with laser light. The technique uses the interaction of the oscillating electric field of the laser beam in opposition with the electric field produced by an appropriate electric charge carrier to achieve a net repulsive (or attractive) force on the component holding the electric charge. In one embodiment, force is achieved when the field near the charge carrier is modulated at a subharmonic of the electric field oscillation frequency of the laser and the relative phases of the light field and electric charge carrier field are controlled to provide optimal repulsion/attraction. The effect is scalable by applying the technique to an array of charge carrier fields sequentially as well as using higher power lasers and higher carrier field voltages.

Abstract: The following provides an exemplary method. An image is generated. Scan data generated by the sensing of a subject brain is received and a sequence of volumetric-images are accessed. For at least some of the voxels in at least some of the volumetric images, a change value is determined for the voxel by comparing the current-intensity value of the voxel to the adjacent-intensity value of the comparison voxel. For at least some of the plurality volumetric images, a first-aggregate is determined using at least a mean value of change values of the volumetric image and a second-aggregate is determined using at least a median value of change values of the volumetric image. At least one, but not all, of the volumetric images is determined as invalid as a result of the aggregates.

  • Patent number: 11238045
Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to data arrangement management in a distributed data cluster environment of a shared pool of configurable computing resources. In the distributed data cluster environment, a set of data is monitored for a data redistribution candidate trigger. The data redistribution candidate trigger is detected with respect to the set of data. Based on the data redistribution candidate trigger, the set of data is analyzed with respect to a candidate data redistribution action. Using the candidate data redistribution action, a new data arrangement associated with the set of data is determined. Accordingly, the new data arrangement is established.
