  • Publication number: 20200403826
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for monitoring network traffic using traffic mirroring. According to some examples, traffic mirroring allows customers to monitor traffic at different sources within a VPC. For example, a source may be any Elastic Network Interface (ENI) in their VPC, including elastic network interfaces (ENIs) on virtual machine instances, Network Address Translation (NAT) Gateways, Load Balancers, VPC endpoints, Internal Gateways, Transit Gateways, and more. Filters can be utilized to determine the network traffic to mirror. A customer may also configure to monitor real-time traffic with a monitoring appliance of their choice. With traffic mirroring, data traffic may be identified and sent to one or more target devices. Customers may monitor traffic within a VPC for content inspection, forensic analysis, troubleshooting, record keeping, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20200400578
Abstract: A method for mapping and analyzing a GaN substrate to identify areas of the substrate suitable for fabrication of electronic devices thereon. Raman spectroscopy is performed over the surface of a GaN substrate to produce maps of the E2 and A1 peaks at a plurality of areas on the substrate surface, the E2 and A1 peaks being associated with known concentrations of defects and charge carriers, so that areas of the GaN substrate having relatively high resistivity or conductivity which make those areas suitable or unsuitable for fabrication of electronic devices can be identified. The devices can then be fabricated only on suitable areas of the substrate, or the size of the devices can be tailored to maximize the yield of devices fabricated thereon. Substrates not meeting a threshold level of defect and/or charge carrier concentration can be discarded without fabrication of poor-quality devices thereon.

  • Publication number: 20200404498
Abstract: A technique for implementing AP-local dynamic switching involves Layer 2 switching. This may be accomplished by providing data associated with wireless stations to an AP sufficient to enable the AP to determine whether traffic from a particular wireless station should be locally switched. Alternatively, the wireless station may be able to determine whether to locally switch traffic based upon the traffic itself. For example, it may be desirable to AP-locally switch voice traffic to avoid latency, which is particularly detrimental to voice transmissions such as voiceover-IP. Traffic that is not to be switched locally is Layer 2 tunneled upstream.
