  • Patent number: 10116322
Abstract: A system and method of converting an analog input signal to a linearized digital representation of the analog input signal. A measure of the analog input signal is compared to a threshold associated with a maximum dynamic range of a quantizer. A maximum amplitude of a random, analog dither signal is dynamically varied for perturbing quantization of the analog input signal in response to the comparison. The dynamically varied dither signal and the analog input signal are combined to obtain a dithered input signal. The quantizer converts the dithered input signal into the linearized digital representation of the analog input signal.

  • Patent number: 10116485
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for contemporaneously estimating transmitter in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) imbalances, receiver I/Q imbalances, and transmit carrier leakage in a wireless transceiver. In some implementations, first, second, and third frequency-domain multi-tone (FDMT) signals transmitted through a calibration path of the wireless transceiver are captured to generate frequency domain representations of the first, second, and third FDMT signals. The frequency domain representations of the first, second, and third FDMT signals may be used to contemporaneously estimate the transmitter I/Q imbalances, receiver I/Q imbalances, and the transmit carrier leakage, which in turn may be used to determine transmitter and receiver I/Q imbalance correction filter coefficients and a transmit carrier leakage correction factor.

  • Patent number: 10116587
Abstract: Techniques for electronic distribution of software applications to users and devices belonging to a single network domain, wherein such applications are configurable to provide multiple service levels. In an aspect, a first service level is provided to users and/or devices sharing the same network domain. Upon request by an admin of the network domain, an application control server verifies the admin's control of the domain, as well as fulfillment of conditions for accessing a second service level. Upon verification of control and fulfillment, the application control server allows access by the admin to an admin portal. The application control server further reassigns the service level of users and/or devices sharing the network domain from the first service level to the second service level.

  • Patent number: 10113367
Abstract: A downhole tool, for selectively reaming a wellbore or stabilizing drill string components within a wellbore, includes an elongate tool body adapted to receive reamer cartridges or stabilizer cartridges. The reamer cartridges are radially insertable into corresponding pockets in the tool body, each reamer cartridge having a reamer insert with an array of cutting elements. The reamer insert is disposed within a bushing and is rotatable relative thereto, about a rotational axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tool. The rotational axis is offset from the tool body axis, resulting in eccentric contact of the cutting elements with the wall of the wellbore, which in turn imparts rotation to the reamer insert when the tool is moved axially through a wellbore without rotation. When the tool is used for stabilization, the reamer cartridges can be replaced with stabilizer cartridges having stabilizer inserts with hard-faced stabilizer cones.

  • Patent number: 10114846
Abstract: A balanced distribution of sort order values may be implemented for a multi-column sort order of a database table. Columns of the database table to be included in the multi-column sort order may be identified. Some columns containing string data values may be converted to equally-sized integer data values. The data values of columns may be evaluated to determine buckets representing the ranges of data values within the columns for depth-balanced histograms of the columns. Multi-column sort order values may be generated for individual entries in the database table according to bucket values assigned to the buckets that include the columns values of the individual entries. The entries of the database table may then be stored according to a sorted ordering of multi-column sort order values for the entries.

  • Patent number: 10114815
Abstract: A set of core points is aggregated from a set of points extracted from a large document. A point and a core point each is a topic covered in the document. For the core point in the set of core points, a network of associations is constructed, where an association in the network includes an entity that has a relationship with the core point by virtue of having contributed data in the document that relates to the core point. From the contributed data, a sentiment value of the contributed data is computed, the sentiment value being indicative of a sentiment of the entity towards the core point. From a set of sentiment values corresponding to the associations in the network of associations, an overall sentiment value is computed for the core point. The overall sentiment values for each core point in the document is reported.

  • Patent number: 10112257
Abstract: A laser-based coating removal apparatus to remove a coating from a surface without damaging the surface. The apparatus comprises a laser source to provide a laser light, a routing element coupled to the laser source and configured to direct the laser light onto a target region of the surface thereby removing the coating from the target region, and a detection element to detect the coating as the coating separates from the target region of the surface. The detection element is able to prevent the surface from being damaged by limiting or eliminating the laser light directed onto the target region after all the coating has been removed. The detection element is able to detect the separation of the coating from the target region by detecting incandescence, acoustic signature, motion, fluorescence and/or chemical properties produced by the separation of the coating from the surface.

  • Patent number: 10111443
Abstract: A filled snack product includes a first sheet having a first surface. A plurality of filling lines are disposed upon the first surface of the first sheet. Each of the plurality of filling lines are spaced to define a void between each of the adjacent filling lines. A second sheet is disposed over the first sheet and secured to at least a portion of the first sheet to sandwich the plurality of spaced filling lines between the first and second sheets. A plurality of docking holes are disposed upon the first and second sheets. The plurality of docking holes and the plurality of spaced filling lines allow for the pinning of the first and second sheets at the voids disposed between the spaced filling lines and further for the release to steam and/or gas from the filled snack product during heating to minimize puffing of the filled snack product.
