  • Publication number: 20240372402
Abstract: A wireless charging device may include a source coil configured to transmit electric power to a receiver coil in a separate device. The wireless charging device may include a housing having a pedestal projecting from the housing in which the source coil is disposed. The housing defines a plurality of first air vents located circumferentially around the pedestal. The wireless charging device may include an air movement device disposed within the housing. The wireless charging device may include an electronic controller disposed on a printed circuit board and configured to control airflow through the air movement device.

  • Publication number: 20220413320
Abstract: Contact lenses are provided with tints that enhance performance and are shaped to permit wearing by individuals who are unfamiliar with contact lens handlings. With suitable contact lens shapes, applying and removing the contact lenses is simple, and providing tints on a contact lens permits using more transmissive tints than would be needed for spectacles or goggles. In addition, using tinted contact lenses avoids some of the physical limitations and problems associated with spectacles and goggles.

  • Patent number: 7864046
Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer program product that enable a component to prepare for the arrival of a moving component by providing, to the component, an automated notification of the moving component's approach. When a moving component approaches an arrival point, a signal is received from a transponder chip on the moving component, wherein the signal includes a unique identifier for the transponder chip. The moving component is then identified based on the unique identifier in the signal. A second signal is sent to the component to signal that initiation of a set of actions to be performed with respect to the moving component may occur.

  • Patent number: 7120758
Abstract: Method and apparatus for improving processor performance. In some embodiments, processing speed may be improved by reusing data stored in a buffer during an initial request by subsequent requests. Assignment of temporary storage buffers in a controller may be made to allow for the potential for reuse of the data. Further, a hot buffer may be designated to allow for reuse of the data stored in the hot buffer. On subsequent requests, data stored in the hot buffer may be sent to a requesting device without re-retrieving the data from memory.

  • Patent number: 4070705
Abstract: In building simulators for training purposes more and more of the simulation activities are being carried out by digital computers. One of the basic problems in checking out a large complex simulator system is the testing and evaluating -- and, where necessary, the correction -- of the computer programs in the simulation computer. As a design tool, this invention contemplates simulating that portion of the entire system which is not usually simulated and providing between the master simulation computer which is normally used in a simulator and the secondary computer which is used only in a system of this invention, an interface which permits the smooth functioning and intercommunications between the two.
