Patent number: 10208424Abstract: A device for refreshing fabrics by reducing malodors and/or wrinkles without requiring that the fabrics to be put through an entire standard laundry process. The device comprises an extractable drawer which is pulled out of the device to allow for loading of a fabric into a receiving region. The extractable drawer can then be closed transporting the fabric into the interior of the device. A fabric treatment composition is sprayed or otherwise dispensed onto the fabrics when the device is operated. The device comprises an air flow path and a heating element which allows for the fabrics to be treated during use. The extractable drawer of the present invention can be positioned to extract laterally or vertically out of the shell of the device.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2016Date of Patent: February 19, 2019Assignee: Whirlpool CorporationInventors: Brian Joseph Roselle, Corey Michael Bischoff, Lieven Richard Deketele, Stefan H. Hollinger, Stephan James Andreas Meschkat, Andre Christian Convents

Patent number: 10188192Abstract: An apparatus for treating human skin that has an applicator head having one or more applicator nozzles which may be in a array. The apparatus further has a reservoir comprising a treatment composition, a sensor, and a CPU. The sensor takes an image of at least 10 ?m2 of skin, the CPU analyzes the image to calculate one or more localized L values of individual pixels or group of pixels of the skin. Then the CPU compares the local L value to a predetermined background L value to identify skin deviations. A skin deviation occurs where the difference between the background L value and the local L value is greater than a predetermined ?LS value.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2015Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Thomas Elliot Rabe, Faiz Feisal Sherman, Stephan Gary Bush, Stephan James Andreas Meschkat

Patent number: 9924875Abstract: A method and device for analyzing and treating tonal imperfections on human skin. The method has the steps of taking at least one background image of at least 10 ?m2 of skin and calculating the average background L value of the image on a grey scale. One or more treatment images of the skin are taken and at least one localized L value of individual pixels or group of pixels is calculated within the treatment image. The local L value is compared to the background L value. Skin deviations are areas of skin where the absolute value of the difference between a local L and the background L is greater than a predetermined ?LS. Skin deviations are identified by this method and then treated with a treatment composition.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2015Date of Patent: March 27, 2018Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Thomas Elliot Rabe, Faiz Feisal Sherman, Stephan Gary Bush, Stephan James Andreas Meschkat
