    Inventor: James Archer
  • Patent number: 8133717
Abstract: A process is described to prepare a single enantiomer of an amino acid from its opposite enantiomer or from a racemic mixture, using an oxidase biocatalyst and a supported metal catalyst in separate, sequential reactions in water. The process can be operated in batch or continuous mode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 21, 2007
Date of Patent: March 13, 2012
    Assignee: Richmond Chemical Corporation

  • Publication number: 20090253783
Abstract: The present invention provides isolated, purified ?9 THC. In another embodiment, the invention provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising isolated, purified ?9 THC and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In another embodiment, the invention provides methods of preparing pharmaceutical compositions comprising isolated, purified ?9 THC and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

    Publication date: October 8, 2009
    Applicant: Resolution Chemicals Limited
Inventors: Neil John Goodwin, Nicolas James Archer, Christopher Murray, Alan Kenneth Greenwood, Derek Mchattie
  • Patent number: 7524881
Abstract: ?9 THC acid is obtained from plant material and extracted into an aqueous solvent under conditions of pH control. The acid is converted to a salt and the salt extracted into a polar solvent, yielding acid of high purity. The ?9 THC acid is then converted to ?9 THC which is further purified and combined with a carrier for pharmaceutical use.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20080167390
Abstract: Defoamer compositions effective for the suppression of oil-based and water-based foams. The defoamer compositions comprise a fumed metal oxide, such as fumed silica, or another silica-based material dispersed in an organic solvent. The fumed metal oxide of silica-based material is preferably present at a low weight percentage and may be coated with polydimethylsiloxane (“PDMS”). The defoamer composition may also include one or more traditional defoamer compositions.

  • Publication number: 20080121391
Abstract: Methods and systems for deliquification of fluid loaded, packed wells with sub-surface safety valves (“SSSVs”) utilizing timed and tailored chemical treatments. A flow meter measures the flow rate of the well and an intermitter initiates shut in of the well when a particular flow rate is reached. A chemical treatment is applied and allowed to penetrate the length of the well before production is restarted. Predetermined combinations of chemical treatments and production cycles are utilized based on past experience and well data, and the entire process can be automated through the use of a computer system.

  • Patent number: 6790857
Abstract: This invention provides a method for preparing a benzoylecgonine composition comprising the steps of: (a) contacting benzoylmethylecgonine and propylene glycol in the presence or absence of water to form a reaction mixture; (b) maintaining the reaction mixture at a temperature between about 50° and 100° C.; and (c) subsequently or simultaneously removing water from the reaction mixture. This invention also provides novel benzoylecgonine and methods for producing them.
