  • Patent number: 11993615
Abstract: Tunable thermochromic materials comprise a metal salt with a varying proportion of two different anions and an organic ligand. Partial substitution via doping during the initial synthesis with a macro-structurally similar (generating an isostructural material) yet chemically different anion creates a material with altered thermochromic properties. For example, in bromide-doped bis(N,N?-diethylethylenediamine)nickel(II)) tetrafluoroborate; both the tetrafluoroborate (BF4-) and bromide (Br—) derivatives are isostructural. Substitution of BF4- for Br— causes a decrease in the materials' thermochromic transition temperature by approximately 10° C.

  • Patent number: 11961119
Abstract: Various embodiments of an apparatus, method(s), system(s) and a computer program product(s) described herein are directed to a Offer Engine. The Offer Engine extracts one or more features from data associated with a first user requesting access to a portion of content of a content corpus. The Offer Engine feeds at least one of the features of the first user into a decision tree. The decision tree has multiple levels, wherein at least one level comprises a plurality of leaves and each respective leaf implements at least one machine learning model. The Offer Engine determines whether to provide the first user with a subscription fee offer first option or a non-subscription fee offer second option based at least in part on output of the decision tree.

  • Publication number: 20240095817
Abstract: One variation of a method for refinancing arbitrage structured product investments comprising: receiving selection of a tranche—associated with an initial interest margin and containing an outstanding debt quantity—within a structured product investment by an initiator; assigning a target interest margin, less than the initial interest margin, to the tranche; initiating an online public auction for the outstanding debt quantity; during the online public auction, recording a set of bids submitted by a set of investors, each bid in the set specifying a debt quantity at the target interest margin; calculating a sum of debt quantities, at the target interest margin, specified in the set of bids; and, in response to the sum of debt quantities clearing the outstanding debt quantity upon conclusion of the online public auction, initiating settlement and redistribution of the outstanding debt quantity in the tranche according to the set of bids.

  • Publication number: 20240066513
Abstract: A method of forming a batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments may include providing a precursor mixture, forcing the precursor mixture at a fixed rate through an orifice and then through a multiplicity of perforations in a belt, where the belt moves across and in tight registry with said orifice to form a batch of precursor catalytic carrier filaments, drying the batch of precursor porous catalytic carrier filaments to form the batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments, and firing (i.e. calcining) the batch of greenware porous catalytic carrier filaments to form the batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments. The batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments may have an average pore volume of at least about 0.1 cm3/g.

  • Publication number: 20220391971
Abstract: A method for hosting a multi-stage, token-gated electronic auction includes: during a blind-bidding period, receiving a set of blind bids from bidders on an electronic biding platform and obfuscating blind bid information of other bid from bidders for each blind bidder; after the blind-bidding period, selecting a subset of bidders equal to a live-bidder quantity and associated with blind bids of greatest value, generating a set of digital access tokens for live-bidding, and assigning the digital access tokens to the subset of bidders; and, during a subsequent live-bidding period, admitting the subset of bidders into a virtual private live-bidding room based on the digital access tokens, receiving live bids from the subset of bidders, publishing bid values of live bids received from other bidder for each live bidder, and obfuscating live bid information for bidders other than the subset of bidders.

  • Publication number: 20140122684
Abstract: A device-indexed data server associates persistent device identifiers of client computing devices with user behavior data devoid of personally identifiable information (PII). User behavior data and PII are aggregated by an off-line data aggregator and associated with non-persistent non-PII user identifiers. Users visiting third party web sites are authenticated by their device identifiers, and identified to the device-indexed data server by the device identifier or by the non-PII user identifier. The device-indexed data server retrieves from the aggregator user behavior data associated with the non-PII user identifier, returns the data to the third party server, and maintains records of user behavior associated with persistent device identifiers without maintaining PII. Subsequent user visits to any third party server can thereby be customized according to known user behavior without first requiring the user to identify herself.
