  • Publication number: 20230152238
Abstract: An improved test-strip reader with multi-strip loading carriage capable of loading a plurality of test strips at once and automatically identifying them, referencing their positions, cataloguing/indexing them, calibrating them, imaging them, and correcting and analyzing them. The loading carriage has a plurality of imaging beds to seat and position individual strips, and a clamping mechanism to affix them therein. When the user places the test strips in the carriage and initiates insertion into the enclosure, a latch maintains position, and the remainder of the imaging and analysis process is completed automatically with an internal imaging assembly. The apparatus makes it possible to measure various reagents at once including Free Chlorine (FC), total alkalinity (TA), cyanuric acid (CYA), total chlorine (TC), bromine (Br), and pH as typical of a pool or spa. It further maximizes ease and efficiency of use and minimizes risk of user error.

  • Patent number: 9539785
Abstract: A corrugated box making machine has a vacuum transfer mechanism for moving corrugated boards along a path of conveyance including stations having printing and die cutter mechanisms which operate on the boards. The printing mechanisms include a print and impression cylinder, the latter being mounted in a vacuum housing that also holds drive rolls for moving the boards along the path during which the boards are held against the rolls by vacuum in the housing. The latter is movable substantially above the print cylinder to provide convenient access for maintenance of the print cylinder or replacement of its printing plates.

  • Publication number: 20090151606
Abstract: A flat panel workstation system that may be retrofitted into an existing desktop/work surface for supporting and pivoting a flat panel display such as a liquid crystal display (LCD) from a closed position to an open, viewable position in front of a user. The system includes a sliding keyboard and mouse platform mounted underneath the front edge of the desk top/work surface and which automatically pivot a support panel atop the work surface (and attached flat panel display) to an upright position or closed flush position upon extension/retraction of the keyboard and mouse platform.

  • Publication number: 20070277417
Abstract: A paper clip cover bearing printed indicia such as decorative or informational content that can be affixed to a sheaf of documents and function as a standard paper clip while displaying the information contained on the cover to the recipient of the documents. Three embodiments are disclosed including one with a front section and a back strip attached end-to-end across the front section to form a pocket for receiving a prong of the paper clip. Another embodiment simply has two slits cut into the paper cover to form an intermediate tab, and no backing. A third embodiment has two full sheets of paper glued together, with multiple paper clip covers defined by perforations through the sheets. In this case the user can print the sheets in a standard office printer with desired decoration, and punches them out.

  • Publication number: 20040123782
Abstract: A computer workstation having a desktop/work surface defined by a central aperture and a pivoting liquid crystal display (LCD) support panel mounted on pivot shafts in the aperture. In addition, a sliding input device platform is mounted on telescoping roller brackets underneath the front edge of the work surface. Lever arms are rotatably engaged with the pivot shafts and are linked to the roller brackets. The lever arms automatically pivot the LCD support panel to an upright position upon extension of the input device platform, and vice versa, and a hydraulic damper brings the LCD support panel to a safe, gentle stop. Aa mercury switch turns the LCD on and off automatically upon opening or closing. Two or more such LCD support panels and associated hardware can be included in a single desktop/work surface for a computer training and/or conferences.
