Publication number: 20240390969Abstract: A tooling assembly and related method of manufacture for making a push button container closure are provided. Advantageously, the tooling assembly only includes one “all in one” press station at which all score lines are cut into the blank that is being formed into the container closure. Furthermore, the profiles and features of the container closure are generally rotationally symmetrical except at the score lines, and as such, no orientation dimples or other features need to be formed in the blank or used to maintain an exact rotational position of the blank as it moves between the various press stations of the tooling assembly. As a result, the manufacturing tooling itself is easier to use and more efficient because at least one press/scoring station and the orientation equipment of conventional tooling designs are no longer necessary in this process.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2022Publication date: November 28, 2024Inventors: James Bach, R. Publication number: 20220373422Abstract: A vibration detection and correction device includes a housing and a sensor. The housing includes one or more inputs, a processor, and a memory connected to the processor. The sensor is connected to at least one input of the one or more inputs. The sensor is configured to measure rotation data of a shaft of a rotary machine. The processor is configured to determine dynamic vibration data of the shaft based on the rotation data, determine a coarse runout amount of the shaft based on the rotation data measured each time the rotary machine is coming to a stop, and correct the dynamic vibration data by removing the coarse runout amount from the dynamic vibration data so as to obtain coarse-adjusted vibration data. The memory is configured to store the coarse-adjusted vibration data.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2021Publication date: November 24, 2022Inventor: Quentin James BACH

Patent number: 11286082Abstract: A sheet metal lid has a rim portion removably secured and sealed to a container and the lid includes a vent button having a top wall portion surrounded by a side wall portion and an outwardly projecting flange portion. The flange portion of the button has a short arcuate score or shear line extending substantially into the sheet metal, and additional score lines extend into the flange portion at lesser depths to protect a coating on the inner surface of the lid. A resilient sealant material may be bonded to the inner surface of the vent button, and the opposing sheet metal portions of the score line form a small gap for releasing a vacuum or pressure from the container in response to a controlled downward pressure on the top wall portion of the vent button.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: March 29, 2022Assignee: Consumer Convenience Technologies LLCInventors: R. Publication number: 20050116108Abstract: A system and method for configuring an aircraft for low sonic boom supersonic flight conditions includes redistributing lift of a wing by configuring the wing with one or more areas of far-field expansion ahead of areas of far-field compression. An equivalent area distribution goal curve is scaled to account for the equivalent area reduction due to excursions below to goal curve. A relaxed constraint allows the equivalent area distribution of the aircraft to be at or below the equivalent area distribution goal curve to enable multiple parameters to be configured to meet the equivalent area distribution constraint, as well as other constraints. The system and method can be adapted to aid in the design of any type of vehicle whose surfaces are subject to supersonic fluid flow, especially to reduce sonic boom.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2003Publication date: June 2, 2005Applicant: Supersonic Aerospace International, LLCInventors: John Morgenstern, James Bach, Alan Arslan
