  • Publication number: 20240068253
Abstract: An apparatus for aligning corrugated decking includes a main body, an alignment frame, and one or more arms configured by linear actuation to raise and lower the alignment frame. The apparatus features one or more vertically-adjustable corrugation plates and a sliding corrugation plate positioned across the alignment frame, each including a plurality of teeth that are grooved to complement the profile of corrugated panels. The sliding corrugation plate is moveable along sliding rails via a linear actuator in a header of the alignment frame. In practice, the vertically-adjustable corrugation plates grip the flutes of an unsecured panel while the sliding corrugation plate grips the flutes of an adjacent unsecured panel and aligns them together with one another in preparation for fastening.

  • Publication number: 20220395932
Abstract: The beam rotation device described herein has a base support with a first vertical jaw arm, a second vertical jaw arm, and a support arm. The second vertical jaw arm may be pivotally coupled to the device so as to go from a first, closed position to a second, opened position to receive a steel beam (e.g., I-beam). Once the steel beam is placed within the device, the support arm may hold the beam stationary to allow a worker to weld or perform other tasks. It will be appreciated that multiple beam rotation devices may be coupled together and work in tandem to receive and rotate a beam. The beam rotation device creates a safer working environment than the rotators found in the art by having a pivotable second vertical jaw arm that may open to receive a beam and a support arm to hold the beam during fabrication.

  • Publication number: 20220371868
Abstract: A vehicle apparatus has a chassis with a plurality of rear wheels (e.g., flotation axel wheels) and a plurality of front wheels (e.g., drive/steer wheels) coupled thereto. A scissor lift assembly may couple to the chassis and hoist and lower a man basket. The man basket has hinged sides that may be released to a horizontal position, thereby extending the working platform of a user. A rotatable pedestal allows a central tie-off spot for added safety and efficacy.

  • Publication number: 20220127867
Abstract: A temporary brace system includes a temporary brace having a top portion coupleable to a building structure, a bottom portion that contacts the ground, and a middle portion interposed between the top and the bottom portions. The top portion has an adapter capable of receiving numerous attachment brackets so as to be coupleable to any building structure. The middle portion of the temporary brace includes cable struts that may be hingedly coupled to a first and a second support at a first end and may receive support cables. The middle portion may further include hoisting brackets to allow a connection point for hoisting and transporting the temporary brace system. The bottom portion may have a bolt coupler and an adjustment unit. The adjustment unit allows the first and the second support to be extended or shortened via a telescoping bracket.

  • Publication number: 20210222813
Abstract: A pulsation dampener includes a quantity of liquid reactive fluid (e.g., about 20 gallons) contained within a flexible diaphragm and separated from fluid from an external pumped fluid flow. The quantity of liquid reactive fluid is selected to dampen pressure pulses within the external pumped fluid flow. The pulsation dampener is configured to accommodate thermal expansion of the quantity of liquid reactive fluid by one or more of including a quantity of compressible foam within the flexible diaphragm, allowing for a space between the flexible diaphragm when holding the quantity of the liquid reactive fluid and a body of the pulsation dampener, or providing a reset pressure relief valve.

  • Publication number: 20210198626
Abstract: A human platelet lysate preparation that contains human plasma is provided. This preparation can be generated from human platelets by concentrating and washing them under defined conditions to control the degree of human plasma present. The washed platelet concentrate is then subjected to a freeze-thaw cycle to produce platelet lysate which is centrifuged and filtered through 0.65?, 0.45? and 0.2? filters, aliquoted and stored frozen at <?20° C. until thawed for use. This invention describes the novel finding that the controlled addition of human plasma to the lysate preparation significantly enhances the cell growth potency of the lysate preparation. This lysate can be used as a media supplement to replace fetal bovine serum (FBS) or other non-human serum additives used for the culture of mammalian cells.
