Abstract: According to at least one embodiment, a computer-implemented method to interface with an automation system is disclosed. One or more activation parameters and deactivation parameters may be identified associated with a mobile control panel. A concealed interface of the mobile control panel may be activated based at least in part on the one or more activation parameters. The activated interface of the mobile control panel may be deactivated based at least in part on one or more sleep parameters.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides improved dimming or dimmer assemblies/modules for controlling lights or loads (e.g., as part of a control or automation system). More particularly, the present disclosure provides for systems and methods for utilizing dimmer control assemblies/modules advantageously having: (i) an adjustable output response, (ii) enhanced thermal management, (iii) a voltage detector to determine amplitude and zero-crossing, and/or (iv) an estimation of power consumption for multiple loads (e.g., using a single sensor).

Abstract: An integrated controller for complete automation with the ability to control electrical devices through both RF transmission and IR transmissions. In one illustrative embodiment, the integrated controller comprises an antenna for two-way communication with stations located throughout a structure. Each station may control the power supply to an attached electrical device. The buttons on the station may control any electrical device on the system through RF transmission with the integrated controller. The integrated controller also may comprise an IR receiver and at least one IR output. The IR receiver may receive signals from a remote and pass them through to a device, such as a device used in a home theater system, with a built in IR receiver via the IR output. In this manner, the integrated controller is capable of providing complete in home automation.

Abstract: An apparatus for interfacing with devices using different communication protocols. The apparatus may scan a range of known frequencies for a communication protocol. The apparatus may decode and translate the communication protocol into a common interface language. The apparatus may include a pair of separate and co-located transceivers to accomplish the interface.

Abstract: A propeller shaft provided including, a tubular body (1) and a balance weight (5) attached to the body (1). The propeller shaft is characterised in that a stud (4) is welded to a cylindrical outer surface of the body (1) so as to project outwardly from that surface. The weight (5) has a hole (8) therethrough and located over the stud (4) so that the stud (4) extends into the hole (8). A terminal end portion (10) of the stud (4) contacts the weight (5) so as to thereby prevent separation of the weight (5) from the stud (4). A method for attaching a balance weight to a propeller shaft is also provided.
