  • Publication number: 20240061695
Abstract: System and methods providing for categorizing individual virtual machines, as well as the associated application that they form by working in concert, into groups based on the feasibility of hosting the processes that occur on a virtual machine within a container, as well as the relative difficulty of doing so on a virtual machine and application level. The data used to create these scores is collected from the individual machines, at regular intervals through the use of an automated scoring engine that collects and aggregates the data. Said data is then analyzed by the system, that with the aid of passed in configuration data, is configured to generate the scores to allows for an educated and focused effort to migrate from hosting applications on virtual machines to hosting applications on containers.

  • Patent number: 10780613
Abstract: The present invention relates firstly to a method for reproducing a stem cell niche of an organism. The invention further relates to a reproduction of a stem cell niche of an organism. According to the invention, an image of a tissue of an organism is generated, which tissue comprises at least one stem cell niche. The image is filtered in order to obtain a structural pattern of the imaged stem cell niche. In a further step, a lithographic mask is generated from the structural pattern. According to the invention, a starting material of a substrate is structured by means of indirect or direct application of the lithographic mask, whereby a structured substrate is obtained which represents the reproduction of the imaged stem cell niche of the organism. The reproduction can be characterised as biolithomorphic.

  • Patent number: 10610792
Abstract: Examples of a gaming robot are described. The gaming robot may be controlled by a computing device such as a smartphone or tablet. The gaming robot may be used in solo or group gaming activities. In one case a gaming robot has one or more primary modules. These include a main module with a main processing module to control at least one locomotion module of the gaming robot in response to commands received from the computing device. Secondary modules may be attached to the primary modules via mechanical couplings and electrical interfaces. The main processing module is configured to obtain data identifying the secondary module from the secondary module via the electrical interface, and transmit the data to the computing device. The computing device alters the commands sent to the main processing module based on the data obtained from the secondary module such that control of at least one locomotion module is modified based on connection of the secondary module.

  • Patent number: 9727228
Abstract: A method for operating a data processing system having a touch enabled display screen that displays a plurality of waveforms to alter the display of one of the waveforms without altering the display of the remaining waveforms is disclosed. The method includes determining a selected waveform in response to a user touching the display screen in a first location thereby defining a touch area that determines the selected waveform. An operation that is to be performed on the selected waveform is then defined by a gesture on the screen. The selected waveform is determined by a touch area that is defined by the user touching the screen. If more than one waveform is defined by the touch area, the possible waveforms are sequentially selected until the correct one is presented to the user in response to the user repeating the touching that defines the touch area.
