Abstract: A method and apparatus relating to digital rights management (DRM) in a video processing system. In particular, a method and apparatus for playing content on a first device wherein the digital rights associated with the content are associated with a second device. The first device may or may not be associated with an account having digital rights. The system determines a proximity between a first device and a second device and if said proximity is below a threshold, content is played on said first device according to the rights associated with the second device.
