  • Publication number: 20240132276
Abstract: Mechanisms and methods for pressurized fluid injection and sealing into containment vessels using a divided valve mechanism are disclosed. The invention describes designs and methods in which a valve may be plugged by an actuator then the valve and actuator are then disjoined, allowing the containment vessel to then be sealed but without the additional mass or volume of the actuation mechanism and without fluid loss from the containment vessel.

  • Publication number: 20080047555
Abstract: A device for manipulating intrathoracic pressures comprises a compressible bag structure, and an interface member coupled to the bag structure. A one way forward valve is coupled to the bag structure to permit respiratory gas to flow to the patient when the bag structure is compressed. A one way exit valve is employed to allow respiratory gases to be pulled from the person's airway upon decompression of the bag structure to produce a negative intrathoracic pressure.

  • Publication number: 20070142716
Abstract: A system and method for displaying a patient clinical status indicator. In one embodiment the system includes a plurality of sensors, each sensor measuring a respective patient parameter; a processor in communication with each of the plurality of sensors, and a display in communication with the processor. The processor receives the patient parameters and generates a patient clinical status indicator in response to the plurality of patient parameters. The display displays the patient clinical status indicator. In one embodiment the patient clinical status indicator is a risk indicator. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of measuring a plurality of patient parameters; generating a patient clinical status indicator in response to the plurality of patient parameters; and displaying the patient clinical status indicator.

  • Publication number: 20050188083
Abstract: A ventilator monitoring system is described for monitoring a plurality of ventilators. In one embodiment, a server including a dedicated ventilator application program for each type of ventilator, monitors a plurality of heterogeneous ventilators over a wireless network.
