  • Patent number: 12348014
Abstract: An aircraft system has a first structure, and a second structure coupled to the first structure and movable between first and second positions relative to the first structure. The aircraft system has an electrical connector for providing an electrical connection running between respective components housed within the first and second structures. The electrical connector has a cable harness housed within the first structure, and a connector body coupled to an end of the cable harness. The connector body extends through an aperture formed in the first structure, and the connector body is coupled to the second structure such that movement of the second structure between the first and second positions relative to the first structure causes the connector body to move through the aperture.

  • Patent number: 11005243
Abstract: A cable routing system is disclosed having dielectric, or insulating, liner which is installed within a cable routing channel, or raceway, to subdivide the channel into at least two secondary channels. This can achieve more efficient use of space and enable more flexible placement of cables within the channels while meeting safety requirements. Installation of cables into the channel can include inserting the cables into the dielectric liner before the installation of the dielectric liner into the cable routing channel. The cable routing system can be used in an aircraft, including within space-constrained areas of the aircraft such as inside a wing.

  • Patent number: 8380612
Abstract: A system and method are described and disclosed that are used for effecting large block trades of securities in an automated and anonymous matter in which fair pricing is carried out using features of the National Best Buy Offer (“NBBO”). The automated trading the system and method also will carry out negotiations to effect a trade in certain circumstances, though the preferred method of effecting trades is by automated trading. However, regardless of the trading method, anonymity of the trading counterparties is preserved. The system and method also tests the NBBO for each of the traded securities to ensure it is valid before an automated trade may take place.

  • Patent number: 7063364
Abstract: A moveable bumper arrangement. The moveable bumper arrangement includes an elongated bumper member, an end bumper member, and a mechanism coupled to the end bumper member. The mechanism allows substantially translational movement of the end bumper member with respect to the elongated bumper member from a first position where the end bumper member is positioned at an end of the elongated bumper member to a second position where the end bumper member is spaced apart from the elongated bumper member.

  • Publication number: 20050281057
Abstract: A holdover circuit is configured with a holdover capacitor, preferably an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, to provide uninterruptible operation for an electrical load operable over a limited range of input voltage during brief power interruptions. The holdover circuit includes a switching regulator configured with two active switches that are controlled with complementary duty cycles to charge and discharge the holdover capacitor at a voltage higher than the voltage of the load. The controller for the switching regulator may be configured to regulate the voltage of the holdover capacitor at a voltage proportional to the load voltage or at a constant voltage. The controller for the switching regulator is configured to operate in different modes during normal powered operation and during holdover.

  • Publication number: 20050236845
Abstract: A latch assembly for connecting a hood assembly to a truck includes a striker bolt that is surrounded by a sleeve that is engaged by a rotary latch. The sleeve is of shorter length than the striker bolt so that it can slide along the striker bolt. The rotary latch fixedly engages the sleeve so that any relative motion between the hood and frame translates to movement of the sleeve along the striker bolt rather than between the rotary latch and striker bolt. The sleeve arrangement thus provides wear protection to rotary latch, allows for self alignment of the hood and fender assembly along the striker bolt axis and dynamic movement of the latch during vehicle operation.

  • Patent number: 6767039
Abstract: A bumper assembly of an over the highway vehicle. The bumper assembly includes first and second mounting flanges coupled to a chassis component of the over the highway vehicle. A first bumper section is connected to the first mounting flange. A second bumper section is connected to the second bracket. The second bumper section is also be connected to the first bumper section by a detachable connection. The first bumper section detaches from the second bumper section when the first bumper section is involved in a collision to reduce or eliminate damage to the second bumper section.
