Patent number: 12480488Abstract: A fluid end of a reciprocating pump that includes a housing defining multiple bores extending therein. In one embodiment, the present invention involves coupling a plate to a side of a smaller fluid end forging, thereby extending the overall length of the forging to capture the outer tie rods or stay rods that a larger forged fluid end typically captures. The plate allows a smaller forged fluid end to be utilized in a tie rod spacing that is outside of the smaller fluid end envelope. In one embodiment, the plate can partially capture the side or end surface of the fluid end. In another embodiment, the plate can fully capture the side or end surface of the fluid end.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2024Date of Patent: November 25, 2025Assignee: GD ENERGY PRODUCTS, LLCInventors: James Black, Kale Woosley, Vadim Kachkovskiy

Publication number: 20250243859Abstract: A fluid end of a reciprocating pump includes multiple bores formed therein, and adjacent bores intersect each other. The intersection of two adjacent bores forms an intersection corner, which is where a concentration of high stress occurs during operation of the reciprocating pump. At least one of the bores includes a first tapered portion and a second tapered portion. The first tapered portion increases a cross-sectional area of the bore toward the crossbore to reduce the concentration of stress on the intersection corners. The second tapered portion decreases a cross-sectional area of the bore to provide a ledge having an extended arc length and forming a groove. The extended arc length of the ledge increases an available surface area to secure a valve retainer within the groove.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2025Publication date: July 31, 2025Inventors: Vadim Kachkovskiy, James Black

Publication number: 20210277579Abstract: A washing machine lint trap has a long screen filter for removing particulates from the wastewater discharge as it flows therethrough and a rigid support rim coupled to the top side of the long screen filter. The long screen filter has a top side presenting an opening for insertion of a discharge drain hose attached to a washing machine and side screen material through which the wastewater flows while tapping particulates contained within the wastewater. The rigid support rim engaging a top side of a drainpipe to hold the lint trap in place when in use. The rigid support rim provides a supporting force to the long screen filter to keep the lint trap in place against the discharge flow of the wastewater.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 4, 2020Publication date: September 9, 2021Inventor: James Black

Patent number: 8805775Abstract: A system, a method and computer-readable media for managing content received over a network by a client device. A network transmission communicating an item of content is detected by a client device, and a determination is made whether the client device is in a mode of operation that allows the storing of uninvited media content. For example, the client device may be a mobile communication device monitoring the media being transmitted over a broadcast channel. When an item of content is observed traversing the broadcast channel, a set of user-defined preferences is accessed to determine whether to permit receiving the item. If permitted, the item of content is stored in a data store on the client device for subsequent presentation to the user.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2005Date of Patent: August 12, 2014Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: James Pan, Claudio Lima, James Black
