    Abstract: A fluid end of a reciprocating pump includes multiple bores formed therein, and adjacent bores intersect each other. The intersection of two adjacent bores forms an intersection corner, which is where a concentration of high stress occurs during operation of the reciprocating pump. At least one of the bores includes a first tapered portion and a second tapered portion. The first tapered portion increases a cross-sectional area of the bore toward the crossbore to reduce the concentration of stress on the intersection corners. The second tapered portion decreases a cross-sectional area of the bore to provide a ledge having an extended arc length and forming a groove. The extended arc length of the ledge increases an available surface area to secure a valve retainer within the groove.

    Abstract: A switchable patch antenna comprises a planar conductor having an aperture (hole) formed in the middle of the planar conductor. Radiation of a sinusoidal signal is controlled by comparison of separate impedance values for two components that have separate impedance values. Each of the two components have one end coupled together at the terminal positioned at a center of the aperture and their other ends separately coupled to opposing edges of the aperture. A sinusoidal signal source is also coupled to the terminal positioned at the aperture's center. Further, when the impedance values of both components are substantially equivalent, radiation by the antenna of the provided signal and/or mutual coupling of other signals is disabled. Also, when an impedance value of one of the two components is substantially greater than the other impedance value of the other component, the provided signal is radiated and/or mutual coupling is enabled.

The system features an electronic servo actuator connected to a supercharger pressure relief valve, allowing for dynamic adjustment of the valve's position to control boost pressure accurately. A manifold air pressure sensor measures air pressure, providing feedback to an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is further linked to a user input device equipped with a potentiometer knob and button, enabling the user to set and adjust the desired boost pressure level easily. The system operates by receiving and analyzing manifold air pressure signals and user-defined boost settings, adjusting the relief valve via the servo actuator to maintain boost pressure within a specific range.

    Abstract: A fluid end of a reciprocating pump that includes a housing defining multiple bores extending therein. In one embodiment, the present invention involves coupling a plate to a side of a smaller fluid end forging, thereby extending the overall length of the forging to capture the outer tie rods or stay rods that a larger forged fluid end typically captures. The plate allows a smaller forged fluid end to be utilized in a tie rod spacing that is outside of the smaller fluid end envelope. In one embodiment, the plate can partially capture the side or end surface of the fluid end. In another embodiment, the plate can fully capture the side or end surface of the fluid end.

The HMA is characterized with different holographic functions for a plurality of operating temperatures and a plurality of behaviors during the manufacturing process. The characterization of the HMA identifies different hologram functions that cause the HMA to generate more or less heat or exhibit more or less abnormal behavior while generating equivalent beams. Further, or more characterizations of a hologram function may be performed remotely after the HMA is installed in a real world environment. An operating temperature and/or a temperature gradient may be detected by temperature sensors physically located on a circuit board for the HMA.

    Abstract: A switchable dual polarization patch antenna with improved cross polarization isolation to concurrently radiate horizontally polarized signals and vertically polarized signals. A planar conductor is arranged with a first terminal and a second terminal that are vertically spaced on a portion of the planar conductor to radiate a component of a vertically polarized signal with zero degrees of phase shift from one of the two terminals and radiate another component of the vertically polarized signal having a 180 degrees of phase shift from the other of the two terminals. A hybrid coupler can provide the 180 degrees of phase shift. A horizontally polarized signal is radiated from a third terminal that is horizontally spaced on another portion of the planar conductor and coupled to a horizontally polarized signal source. The direction of the 180 phase shift for the first and second components of the vertically polarized signal may be selected.
