  • Publication number: 20240066942
Abstract: A system for transporting perishable goods. The system for transporting perishable goods provides a perishable goods transportation device for containing and transporting perishable goods having a phase change material (PCM) disposed in a first thermodynamic state disposed therein, a heat source, at least one passive electromotive force (EMF) generator, and a PCM re-constitution system operably coupled to the PCM.

  • Publication number: 20190136580
Abstract: A multimode electronic lock is disclosed. The lock has three mechanical flag members which move so as to break light beams and detect the position of the flag members, sending a signal to an electronic lock controller. This allows the electronic lock controller to accurately and reliably determine whether the lock is in a locked or unlocked state, regardless of whether an electronic lock/unlock command or a mechanical key and tumbler mechanism was last used to lock or unlock it. Optional features which allow the locking assembly to be secured from transient accelerations/impacts and to move in highly consistent and controllable ways are also disclosed. The electronic lock controller can accept lock/unlock commands from a smartphone or other pairable device, and can lock or unlock the lock according to preprogrammed schedules and/or proximity of the paired device.

  • Publication number: 20130220380
Abstract: A system and process for cleaning a flow passage of a dirty device, such as a fuel injector, are provided. The dirty device has one or more flow passages undesirably clogged with deposit layers of carbon, sulfur, and other contaminants. The device is placed within a thermal chamber heats the device to a first temperature. A fluid supply provides pressurized fluid having an oxidizer, and a heat exchanger heats the pressurized fluid to a second temperature. A conduit is coupled between the heat exchanger the flow passage of the device. The device is heated at the first temperature by the thermal chamber and heated fluid at the second temperature is supplied to the flow passage of the device. The thermal chamber can provide heat to the heat exchanger and the device simultaneously for a period of time.

  • Publication number: 20070074518
Abstract: A fuel nozzle for a turbine engine having a combustion chamber is disclosed. The fuel nozzle has a common axis, a body member, and a barrel member. The fuel nozzle also has a mixing duct and an air inlet duct, each with predetermined lengths. The fuel nozzle additionally has a main fuel injection device located between the air inlet duct and the mixing duct. The main fuel injection device is configured to introduce a flow of fuel into the barrel member at a predetermine axial fuel introduction location. The predetermined axial fuel introduction location and the predetermined length of at least one of the mixing duct and the air inlet duct are such that a time-varying fuel to air equivalence ratio at a flame front downstream of an exit of the mixing duct is less than a time-averaged fuel to air equivalence ratio when a naturally-occurring time-varying pressure at the flame front is at a maximum.

  • Publication number: 20070039329
Abstract: A system and method for modifying the supply of fuel to injectors to attenuate combustion oscillations in a gas turbine engine. The gas turbine engine may comprise a combustor, a plurality of injectors and a manifold. The plurality of injectors may be operable to provide fuel to the combustor. The manifold may be configured to supply fuel to all of the plurality of injectors or to only a portion of the plurality of injectors in reaction to a determination of an existence of combustion oscillations.
