Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving avatar definition information from a user, the avatar definition information defining aspects of a user avatar to represent the user in an immersive experience in a first metaverse; activating the user avatar in the first metaverse, the user avatar defined according to the avatar definition information; and activating the user avatar in a second metaverse, the user avatar representing the user in the second metaverse, the user avatar defined in the second metaverse according to the avatar definition information, the activating the user avatar in the second metaverse being responsive to a request from the user to change from the first metaverse to the second metaverse. Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for identifying potential identity fraud by tracking a user's typical communication patterns. If a new communication is received from someone who purports to be a trusted user, but the communication exhibits communication traits that are not typical for the user, additional identity fraud prevention steps may be taken.

Abstract: A power adapter kit may include a base wall mounted power adapter configured to be plugged into a wall power outlet and at least one extension adapter unit electrically coupled to the base wall mounted power adapter and configured to be extended away from the wall power outlet. The extension adapter unit(s) may include an electrical conduit reel configured to unravel in response to the extension adapter unit(s) being extended. At least one connecting mechanism may be configured to be mounted to a wall and engage corresponding extension adapter unit(s), thereby supporting the corresponding at least one extension adapter unit by the wall.

Abstract: Synchronized satellite communications can include receiving, at a computer having a processor, a data request that identifies a requesting device, data to be received by the requesting device, and a time at which the data is to be received by the requesting device. The processor can determine a geographic location of the requesting device and locations of a plurality of satellites; identify, based on the geographic location of the requesting device and the locations of the plurality of satellites, satellites that are to provide the data to the requesting device; generate instructions for loading network requirements to the satellites; and provide, to at least one of the satellites, the instructions. Additionally, embodiments of the concepts and technologies disclosed herein can be used to provide the same data and/or different data to multiple devices at the same time.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for manufacturing and implementing solid-state electrolytes (SSEs) for aluminum-based rechargeable batteries and other secondary batteries. In some examples, a SSE composition may include a mixture including urea, sodium chloride, sodium borate, magnesium sulfate, and sodium silicate. In certain examples, the SSE composition may further include carboxymethyl cellulose. In some examples, an aluminum-based secondary battery may be formed by applying a first portion of the SSE composition to an aluminum-based anode via slot-die coating and a second portion of the SSE composition to a cellulose membrane to form a SSE layer, and combining the coated aluminum-based anode, the SSE layer, and a sulfur-based cathode. In certain examples, a current pulse may be applied to the aluminum-based secondary battery to activate in situ solid-electrolyte interphase layers.

Abstract: A torque tube coupler may include an outer body that includes a first abutting surface and a second abutting surface adjacent to the first abutting surface. Set screws may be inserted into one or more channels of the first abutting surface. Tightening the set screws may force the abutting surfaces away from each other and the outer body to press against an inner surface of a torque tube. Another embodiment of the torque tube coupler may include a central ring sized based on a size of a torque tube. The torque tube coupler may also include a set of fingers that extend away from a first side of the central ring and are shaped to flex radially outward. The torque tube coupler may include a core disposed within the set of fingers that, when drawn towards the central ring, causes the fingers to flex radially outwards.

Abstract: Techniques control a utility vehicle. Such techniques involve storing electric power in a lithium battery of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve operating a motor controller of the utility vehicle in a normal mode in which the motor controller provides electric power from a lithium battery of the utility vehicle to an electric motor of the utility vehicle to turn one or more ground engaging members of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve, after operating the motor controller in the normal operating mode, operating the motor controller in a walkaway mode in which the motor controller configures the electric motor to provide braking torque.

Abstract: A replaceable unit for an electrophotographic image forming device includes a housing having a reservoir for holding toner. An electrical connector is positioned on a first side of the housing. The electrical connector includes an electrical contact for contacting a corresponding electrical contact in the image forming device. The electrical contact of the replaceable unit is electrically connected to processing circuitry mounted on the housing. The electrical connector is movable between a first position and a second position. The electrical contact of the replaceable unit moves outward from the first side of the housing along a side-to-side dimension of the housing when the electrical connector moves from the first position to the second position. The electrical contact of the replaceable unit faces downward when the electrical connector is in the second position permitting the corresponding electrical contact to contact the electrical contact of the replaceable unit from below.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards virtual reality bookmarks that maintain state data for a user in a virtual reality environment, such that the user can to return to that virtual reality environment at a later time. While presenting virtual reality session content to a user, a system or the like can receive a request to pause the virtual reality session from a user. Session state data, e.g., in the form of a virtual reality bookmark, is saved based on the pause request. A later request to resume presentation of the virtual reality content results in the system accessing the virtual reality session data, which is used to present resumed virtual reality session content to the user based on the session state data. A pause request may be for an individual user or for each user participating in a session. Virtual reality bookmarks may be shared with other users.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards virtual reality collaboration spaces with associated context data. Once created, a virtual reality collaboration space can be pervasively existent, such that the space can be joined or returned to as needed by any admitted participants. The existence of a created collaboration space in association with its collaboration context data can be advertised to specific invitees or general invitees, and can be searchable. In general, upon receiving a reservation request for reservation of a virtual reality collaboration space, a virtual location for the collaboration space is reserved. Access is granted to requesting entities authorized to access the space. Permissions can differ for different invitees, e.g., such that only permitted users can access proprietary information presented as a virtual reality element within the collaboration space. The collaboration space can also be used to drop off virtual reality elements, e.g., from one user to another user.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting a medical practitioner with information that assists the practitioner in communicating with a given patient. Baseline data describing a medical patient is obtained, such as from one or more previous visits. The baseline data can be compared with current data, e.g., sensed by patient biosensors and/or discerned from a current video of the patient during the visit. Historical and/or known healthy data can be used as baseline data. Interaction data representing an interaction (e.g., a conversation during a current visit) between the medical practitioner and the medical patient is determined. Based on the baseline data and the interaction data, during the interaction between the medical practitioner and the medical patient the medical practitioner can be presented with coaching data to assist the medical practitioner in communicating with the patient.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to detection of attention exhibited by a second user to a first user's avatar in a virtual reality environment. A first user's avatar activity and the second user's activity are evaluated to determine the second user's (e.g., via another avatar) attention level directed towards first user's avatar. Information can be sent to notify the first user that the second user's attention level has satisfied attention-level criterion data. For example, if the second user is viewing and/or is within audio range of the first user for too long of a time or too frequently, then the first user can be notified and/or other action taken. Remedial action is available for negative attention, such blocking the second user from experiencing the first user in the environment. Detection of attention for positive purposes is available, such as to reward an influencer whose avatar is receiving significant attention from followers.

Abstract: Labels are often over labeled by machine-learning models and under labeled by human labelers. A solution to the over and under labeling problem is to have both a machine-learning model and a human label a document, then send the document to a parser to determine the discrepancies. The discrepancies are then presented to a human to review and decide whether the machine-learning model identified labels are labels. The feedback is then given to the machine-learning model for further improvement in its confidence calculations which via a confidence threshold determine if the identified labels are presented.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to extracting text from form-like documents. In particular, a computing system can obtain an image of a document that contains a plurality of portions of text. The computing system can extract one or more candidate text portions for each field type included in a target schema. The computing system can generate a respective input feature vector for each candidate for the field type. The computing system can generate a respective candidate embedding for the candidate text portion. The computing system can determine a respective score for each candidate text portion for the field type based at least in part on the respective candidate embedding for the candidate text portion. The computing system can assign one or more of the candidate text portions to the field type based on the respective scores.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of user authentication is provided. The method comprises combining, by a computer system, a user recurrent neural network with a system recurrent neural network to form a unique combined recurrent neural network. The user recurrent neural network is configured to generate a unique user key, and the system recurrent neural network is configured to generate a system key. The computer system inputs a predetermined input into the combined recurrent neural network, and the combined recurrent neural network generates a unique combined key from the input, wherein the combined key differs from both the user key and system key. The computer system then associates the combined key with a unique access authorization to authenticate a user.
