Publication number: 20240062898Abstract: The present invention provides methods for predicting the treatment response of a cancer patient, using a tumour copy number profile for the patient. The method comprise analysing the copy number profile to assess whether the characteristics of at least one copy number feature are indicative of the presence of focal amplifications in the tumour genome, wherein the at least one copy number feature is selected from: copy number change-point, segment size and segment copy number. The patient is predicted as being likely to be resistant to treatment with an agent that induces the formation of micronuclei (e.g. doxorubicin) if the characteristics of the at least one copy number features are indicative of the presence of focal amplifications in the tumour genome. Also provided a related methods and systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 4, 2021Publication date: February 22, 2024Applicant: Cancer Research Technology LimitedInventors: Geoff Macintyre, James Brenton, Anna Piskorz, Florian Markowetz

Publication number: 20230341201Abstract: A rifle having a ring mount system including a lower receiver connected to an upper receiver having a barrel; a handguard mounted over and around the barrel, the handguard having a mounting aperture; a barrel nut concentrically provided between the barrel and the handguard; one or more fasteners to secure the handguard to the barrel nut; a keyway groove formed annularly on the barrel nut to receive the fasteners when assembled. The fasteners pass through the mounting aperture of the handguard and securely rest in the keyway groove to align the handguard to the barrel nut and the barrel. The handguard includes a core surrounded by one or more exterior layers defining a shape of the handguard. The core is formed a predetermined thickness and allows the one or more exterior layers to form a desired exterior shape.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Applicant: K2 Sales Inc.Inventors: Bartt James Brenton, Michael J. Patent number: 11686545Abstract: A rifle having a receiver alignment system includes an upper receiver and a lower receiver configured to engage with each other in an assembled configuration by aligning and pressing an exterior portion of the upper receiver into an interior portion of the lower receiver. A cavity is defined within the interior portion of the lower receiver configured to receive the upper receiver. A lug positioned on the upper receiver defines an alignment groove formed on a lower surface of the lug. A plunger pin is provided in a hole defined within the interior portion of the lower receiver. The plunger pin is configured to engage with the alignment groove and generate a spring-loaded tension when the upper receiver and the lower receiver are engaged in an assembled configuration.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2022Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: K2 Sales Inc.Inventors: Bartt James Brenton, Michael J. Publication number: 20230014674Abstract: The present invention provides a computer-implemented method for detecting variant nucleic acid from a cell-free nucleic acid-containing sample. The method comprises (a) providing data representing fragment sizes of nucleic acid fragments obtained from said sample and/or representing a measure of deviation from copy number neutrality of the nucleic acid fragments obtained from said sample; b) processing the data from step a) according to a classification algorithm, wherein said classification algorithm operates to classify sample data into one of at least a first class containing the variant nucleic acid and a second class not containing the variant nucleic acid, based on a plurality of cell-free nucleic acid fragment size features and/or a deviation from copy number neutrality feature; and c) outputting the classification of the sample from step b, thereby determining whether the sample contains the variant nucleic acid or not, or a probability that the sample contains the variant nucleic acid.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2019Publication date: January 19, 2023Inventors: Florent Mouliere, Dineika Chandrananda, Anna Piskorz, James Brenton, Nitzan Rosenfeld

Publication number: 20220347672Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for conducting amplification-based analyses, including PCR testing. In one illustrative embodiment, a system may include a testing container assembly and a testing unit. The testing container assembly may include a sample collection port, a sample preparation chamber, and a reaction chamber. The sample collection port may include a bottom opening sealed by a plug member. In use, the testing container assembly may be placed in a seat of the testing unit with a sample in the sample collection port, closed by a lid. A plunger may dislodge the plug member and the sample drawn into the sample preparation chamber. Once sample preparation is complete, a channel may be opened, and the prepared sample flows into the reaction chamber which is then sealed. Testing including amplification reactions, may then be performed, followed by detection, as by detecting fluorescent emissions in the reaction chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 3, 2022Publication date: November 3, 2022Applicant: Co-Diagnostics, Inc.Inventors: Richard David Abbott, Connor Jones, James Brenton Mangum, David Nielsen, Mark Aaron Poritz, Kirk M. Patent number: 11445768Abstract: The present invention provides a garment comprising a soft, knit tank top with a built-in, floating bra. The bra cups and front bridge are constructed with the same fabric as the tank top. Bra cups connect to the tank top partially along front neckline and are double-layered to provide space for removable and inter-changeable sized inserts for different levels of coverage. A floating back panel is made with a single-layer of compression fabric to provide tension support and anchor the front. The straps of the tank top are double-layered shell fabric and connect at a top of the shoulder to wide, flat-lock stitched vertical back bra straps made with compression fabric. This tank top with built-in bra support is a bra replacement worn as a stand-alone top garment or a layering piece underneath outer layers.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2015Date of Patent: September 20, 2022Assignee: Purnell, LLCInventors: James Brenton Dehlsen, Brita Womack
