Patent number: 10946116Abstract: An air sanitation and purification photocatalytic panel includes a frame that has a photocatalytic scrim positioned within the frame and a plurality of UV light sources positioned within the frame proximate to the photocatalytic scrim. The frame is made of a metal and/or alloy. The photocatalytic scrim is a pleated structure. Each of the plurality of UV light sources are oriented towards the photocatalytic scrim. The photocatalytic scrim includes a substrate a photocatalytic coating adhered to the substrate. The frame and photocatalytic scrim are oriented parallel to each other. The UV light sources illuminate the photocatalytic coating and initiate a photocatalytic reaction therein. During operation, the panel is positioned perpendicular to the airstream such that the airstream is forced through the substrate.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2020Date of Patent: March 16, 2021Assignee: GENESIS AIR, INC.Inventors: Daniel James Briggs, Brandon Matthew Hawkins

Patent number: 10538334Abstract: An aircraft seating assembly including a replaceable underseat passenger accommodation feature tray includes passenger seats incorporating in-flight entertainment (IFE) system components for the use of the occupying passengers or neighboring passengers in the seats immediately behind. The IFE system components are connected by internal cabling paths within the seating assembly to contact points, and seat electronic boxes (SEB) mounted to a replaceable passenger accommodation feature tray provide IFE services to the system components. The SEB is connected to a second set of contact points on the feature tray by cabling paths that circumvent the spreader and leg structures of the seating assembly. When the feature tray is fully mounted to the seating assembly, the SEB is connected to the IFE system components through the cabling paths and contact points at which the cabling paths terminate, each contact point on the feature tray having a counterpart in the seating assembly.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2017Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: Rockwell Collins, Inc.Inventors: Alexander Pozzi, Martin McGinley, Stuart McKee, Ross Kane, James Briggs, Harry Clements

Patent number: 8854824Abstract: A modular UPS system is provided wherein UPS systems may be constructed using a number of different frame components. In one example, a core UPS frame is provided that can accept different combinations of power and battery modules, and an extension frame is provided that can be combined with the core frame to provide a larger UPS system. According to one example, both the core and extension frame types may be used in either a standalone or rack-mounted configuration. Another aspect relates to packaging of UPS components such that the UPS frame need not include serviceable items. In another aspect, a rail system is provided that allows for easier installation of heavy components into rack-mount systems.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2012Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: Schneider Electric IT CorporationInventors: James Briggs, David Schuttler, Srdan Mutabdzija, Michael Falcinelli
