Abstract: A cable release comprises a control handle, at least one retractable latch pin, and cables connected from the handle to the latch pins. The handle assembly includes a cup with a non-round orifice at one end. A rod within the cup passes through the handle allowing it to spin, so twisting the handle does not cross up its attached control lines. The latch pin assembly includes another cup and a set screw so that a stop tube may be inserted adjustably to establish a gap length between the stop tube and the retractable latch pin in the cup. A spring between the stop tube and a flange of the pin extends the pin when not pulled into a retracted position by the handle. Varying pin lengths and stop tube gaps allows a single pull of the handle to effect simultaneous or sequential releases of articles retained by the pins.

Abstract: An equipment hauling apparatus for a vehicle comprises a tang assembly with a longitudinal portion having through-apertures for a typical receiver hitch and a vertical portion for holding a strut assembly. The strut attaches to a transverse trough for holding the equipment. The trough has sidewalls and a floor and cutouts which pass through these features. The ends of the trough have tabs with a lead-in angle for centering the equipment as it is loaded into the trough. The tabs have holes for receiving latch pins to lock the equipment within the trough for transport, and the latch pins are loosely attached to the trough by lanyards to prevent their misplacement. The strut and trough elevation is adjustable at its connection to the tang.

Abstract: The invention provides an invertebrate pest detention profile for an extruded channel of rigid or flexible material which may be deployed as a partial or open contour, or a closed contour to establish a defensive line or perimeter to prevent crawling pests or invertebrates such as slugs from traversing the line or boundary. The profile provides a moat for offering a liquid or viscous attractant which retains pests by intoxication, or simply provides a shape too complex for them to overcome. The detention profile disclosed herein may be a component fitted to or incorporated within a garden pot, or built up from components of a pot for a garden plant to deny invertebrates or crawling pests access to a plant in the pot. The detention profile also hides the pests from immediate view and hinders access to them by pets or children.

The pivot block includes two perpendicular splined apertures which may receive a fishing rod holder that has a splined shaft to fix the azimuth orientation of the rod holder in the pivot block. The fishing rod holder has a clevis which receives a perforated ear of a rod retaining tube. A fastener clamps the retaining tube in the clevis at a desired elevation angle. The retaining tube has other features which may coddle a reel mounted on a fishing rod. The azimuth options of the spline interface and the elevation adjustment of the clevis joint provide second and third adjustable axes for orienting a fishing pole from an attachment point on any railing or stanchion or post on a vessel.
