  • Patent number: 10648565
Abstract: An aircraft assembly may have a drag-inducing discontinuity 112. A seal assembly 101 includes a seal body 110 arranged to fair and/or seal the discontinuity 112; and a sealed chamber 114, wherein the sealed chamber 114 being pressurised such that in response to changes in the ambient pressure relative to the internal pressure of the chamber 114 the sealed chamber 114 alters the behaviour of the seal body 110.

  • Patent number: 6425578
Abstract: Image recording apparatus for recording an image on a recording plate, the apparatus comprising a plate store (1) for storing a stack (12) of recording plates separated by interleaved sheets; a drum image scanner (6) on which recording plates are located for recordal of an image; and a frictional feed apparatus (2) for withdrawing recording plates from the store (1) and feeding them singly to the drum image scanner (6).

  • Patent number: 5949742
Abstract: A direction finding and ranging (DIFAR) sensor is provided in which a relatively light sensing element (30) that undergoes motion in response to an acoustic wave is disclosed. The motion of the sensing element relative to an inertial mass (2, 4) is measured along two mutually perpendicular directions to determine the direction of propagation of the acoustic wave. The construction of the DIFAR sensor enables the contact between the sensing element (30) and internally disposed relative motion transducers to be adjusted after assembly of the DIFAR sensor.
