Abstract: A comprehensive method is provided which can be used to evaluate a visual design and to identify changes which will improve visual harmony. Visual harmony is defined as a pleasing sensation which is the result of combing visual design variables in a visual design. There are six visual design variables which are important when evaluating a visual design. The visual design variables are value, color, color intensity, texture, line, and shape. An artist using this method will be able to improve their designs because they will have the ability to evaluate their designs and they will have the ability to identify appropriate changes to visual design variables which will improve visual harmony.

Abstract: A method for designing an adventure based on identifying and assessing a person's personality traits (i.e. personality assessment). The personality assessment measures an adventure participant's personality characteristics which are relevant to adventure planning. The characteristics which are measured include desirability ratings for emotional risk taking, physical risk taking, freedom constraints, physical instability, learning, competing, uniqueness, social interaction and primitive conditions. Also, the invention includes a method for designing an adventure based on the adventure participants need for unity and rhythm.

Abstract: An A/C-D/C-F/C power system is provided that includes a portable power unit that can accept electricity from a number of alternative sources including an AC power source, a DC power source, a battery, and a direct oxidation fuel cell. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the fuel cell is used to either recharge a battery, or to power an application device, when the AC source and/or the DC source are unavailable. The A/C-D/C-F/C system of the present invention also includes signal processing and signal conditioning circuitry in a power combiner and conditioner, which condition the voltage signal to deliver power to the application device in a manner that is consistent with device requirements.
