  • Patent number: 11520479
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure provide a plurality of audio reactions from a plurality of client devices. The audio reactions are captured by microphones on the client devices and are time-stamped. The method also includes mixing the audio reactions by a mixer server to form a mixed audio reaction, and sending the mixed audio reaction to at least one of the client devices. The client device is adapted to play the mixed audio reaction and a mass media presentation. The mixed audio reaction and the mass media presentation are synchronized to create an audience effect for the mass media presentation. The present technology also provides echo removal, volume balancing, compression, and time stamping of an audio stream by the client device. Reactions from at least one of buttons and gestures to activate synthesized sounds, for example clapping, booing, and cheering, which are mixed into the mixed audio reaction.

  • Publication number: 20180067641
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a virtual wall having a plurality of media, as referred to as entries or media items. The system lays out the entries horizontally and vertically in the virtual wall. In the virtual wall, many carousels, or horizontal strips of pages, are stacked vertically, and gestures are detected to move vertically, from one horizontal strip to the next above or below. To navigate the display to the next carousel, the client device receives a user input to navigate between carousels, and transitions between the currently displayed media item to a media item in a different carousel. To navigate to the next media item within a carousel, the client device receives a user input to navigate between media items within a carousel, and transitions between the currently displayed media item and a next or previous media item within the carousel.

  • Publication number: 20130174616
Abstract: A leash includes two selectively lockable loops at opposed ends. One loop is adjustable in size to fit about an animal's neck and includes a sheath for purposes of comfort and for defining the size of the first loop. A second loop is adjustable in size for the hand of a user or for attaching the leash to an anchor point. A sheath extends along the second loop for comfort and for defining the size of the second loop.

  • Publication number: 20130042658
Abstract: A conventional leash includes a snap fitting for attachment to a ring extending from a collar about the neck of an animal. A lockable cover is detachably attached about the snap fitting to prevent unauthorized detachment of the leash from the ring. A wire or the like may extend along or be embedded in the leash to prevent cutting of the leash by a conventional knife or a pair of scissors. A similar lockable cover is detachably attached about a buckle of the collar to prevent removal of the collar from about the neck of the animal.

  • Patent number: 8234723
Abstract: A waterless urinal has a fixture including a backsplash and side walls joining a bowl at the bottom. Mounted on the top of the fixture is a fluid reservoir, a valve and a controller. The controller periodically opens the valve to release a quantity of a cleansing sealant from the reservoir onto the non-wetted surfaces of the fixture. The cleansing sealant cleans the non-wetted surfaces and then flows into the bowl where it collects to replenish the trap seal.

  • Patent number: 8181289
Abstract: A lavatory system has a cabinet including a base, a basin and a head extending above the basin. A water outlet/sensor is mounted in the head. A water supply line is connected to the water outlet. A solenoid valve in the water supply line controls the flow of water through the water supply line. A circuit board sends electrical signals to the solenoid valve for opening and closing the valve upon receipt of indications from a sensor as to whether a user hands is present or not. The solenoid valve, shut off valve, circuit board and sensor are mounted in the head with a sloped surface towards the basin. A manual shutoff valve mounted in the head is included in the supply line.

  • Patent number: 4681515
Abstract: Variable stroke pump apparatus includes a photovoltaic array for providing electrical current to motors, one of which provides for the pumping action of a walking beam, one of which provides for movement of a control unit which varies the length of stroke of the pumping apparatus from a minimum of zero to a maximum, and one of which operates a counterweight for moving the counterweight in response to the pumping load. The apparatus includes mechanical elements which adjust the length of the stroke of the pumping arm, and a control system which controls the length of the pumping stroke in response to the output of the photovoltaic array.

  • Patent number: 4667287
Abstract: A plurality of multiprocessor systems is arranged in a high speed network to allow any processor in one system to communicate with any processor in another system. The network is configured as a multi-node dual bidirectional ring having a multiprocessor system at each node. Packets of information may be passed around the ring in either of two directions and are temporarily stored in buffer memory locations dedicated to a selected destination processor in a selected direction between each successive transfer between neighboring nodes. The buffer locations are managed so that they can request an adjacent node to stop transmitting packets if the buffer is becoming full from that direction and request resumption of transmission of packets as the buffer empties.

  • Patent number: 4356882
Abstract: The present invention is a device for use in combination with a loudspeaker system, that includes a speaker enclosure, in order to effectively enlarge the volume of the speaker enclosure thereby increasing the apparent compliance of the speaker enclosure. The loudspeaker system also includes a vibratable cone. The device may also permit the varying of the mass of the moving system with respect to frequency. The device for effectively enlarging the volume of the speaker enclosure includes a gas having a Joule-Thomson coefficient of less than zero above its inversion temperature, and an inversion temperature below the ambient temperature of the environment in which the device is to be used.
