  • Patent number: 10239085
Abstract: A handheld misting device has a housing having a dispensing window is arranged and configured to contain a sonic generator, a power source coupled to the sonic generator, at least one reservoir containing a liquid, and a conduit extending from the at least one reservoir to a nozzle removably coupled to the sonic generator. The sonic generator includes a converter and an elongate horn having a proximal end coupled to the converter and a distal end, and the nozzle is removably coupled to the distal end of the horn. Thus, the device delivers the liquid through a delivery opening formed in the nozzle, and activating the sonic generator energizes the liquid in the nozzle to generate an aerosol plume that is delivered through the dispensing window.

  • Publication number: 20110028993
Abstract: An article useful for mechanical skin resurfacing techniques is suitable for transferring mechanical energy from a handheld device to skin placed in contact with the article. The article may be characterized by its Durable Abrasiveness, Compressibility, Displacement, and/or surface roughness. The article may be formed of a fibrous structure having a first major surface having associated therewith an adhesive system and a second major surface, generally opposite the first major surface. The second major surface is arranged and configured to reversibly engage a fastener of a motion-generating unit. The invention also relates to a coupling device for coupling a motorized apparatus to a disposable skin-contactable element. The coupling device includes a water-resistant first attachment and a second attachment for releasably affixing said article to a surface of the motion generation unit.

  • Patent number: 5041184
Abstract: There is described an improved bipolar electrode comprised of an intermediate double-sided adhesive conductive plastic film or layer disposed between electronegative and electropositive layers wherein the intermediate layer has a volume resistivity of at least 0.5 ohm-cm. as well as a process for manufacturing same by passing a laminate of such layers through a pressure roller assembly at pressures between 30 to 500 psig.

  • Patent number: 4959919
Abstract: A self-illuminated salt water fishing lure including a hollow lure body which is open to receive salt water in which the body is submerged, and which has a light-transmissive wall; an electric light bulb mounted inside the lure body to produce light visible through the transmissive wall; and a battery, which uses salt water as an electrolyte, mounted inside the lure body for energizing the light bulb. The battery has electrodes with a gap between them which is open to receive salt water when the lure is submerged, but is otherwise empty, so that the battery is activated only during submersion of the lure. One suitable type of battery has a manganese dioxide cathode and an aluminum anode, with an interelectrode gap open at both ends so that sea water can flow into, through, and out of the gap to remove reaction products formed while the battery is activated.
